previously i did think why ppl want to buy recond coz it is second hand. now i know.
1st, if you tend to change car often (less than 6-7 years) coz for taxation purpose. the car value lost compare initial new car is bit diff
2nd, affordability as per claim. for example 140k for new you can't even buy a new fortuner. but instead you could buy recond or second hand
if you die die want to feel the premium segment car.
3rd, loan value, usually new car you need pay out min 10% for downpayment loan 90%. some of recond can get 100% or some even 105%. (depend variance and car type)


risk/potential issue
- uncertain quality, because it a second hand car therefore the car parts issue is undetermine
- recond seller, have news and rumors about the recond unit was theft or not approved unit. (i not sure about this)
- spare part issue, unless is brand like toyota harrier / vellfire / alphard (2.4 / 2.5) most engine part was shared among camry car or so. Other than that you need to worry the spare part price and availability
- Warranty, as the recond are used car. The warranty only covered within the company. unlike the new car you could claim under the brand authorize center.

3) because new car have MSRP, you cannot run liao. only they give you discount from car dealer profit or stock clearance discount
whereelse recond dealer have high margin gap and usually the total loan amount is higher than market selling price so you got cash back sometimes or you can nego with them. (high cashback mean higher loan amount)
