It's not as bad as you paint it and there are others who gotten genuine mileage cars after checking at JP databases (scrut only checks the auction sheets, which is possible to be tampered)

been in this business for too many years
there are no such thing as genuine mileage
even if the car came with 10k KM..which for me is reasonable(low for a 1 years old car)...the boss still ask to adjust it until 1k KM

unless the car came with really really low mileage(i've seen before)...like below 1k KM thn yes..it won't be adjusted
this kind of car are usually 1 years old car(recond car has to be 1 years old before can be imported in)
but these kind of car, they market it as brand new car because of it's extremely low mileage

and there is no such thing as JP database...even the boss of recond company buy their car based on auction sheet...everything in the auction sheet is genuine because it's not filled in by the seller themselves...it's being inspected and being filled in by people from the auctioners side

yup, those are not database
they just enter the info from the auction sheet into their system for simply viewing
u might ask why do they wanna do the extra work and enter what's on the auction sheet into their system

that's because what's written on the auction sheet are mostly japanese and most don't understand that
so they enter what's on the auction sheet into their system to make it easier for the buyer

here is an example of an auction sheet which i don't know how someone can fake it unless that person is really good in writing japanese

They will also have a separate auction sheet which usually shows higher

There are cases where scrut don't have auction sheet and these services will have mileage information (without auction sheets as well)

u do know no matter how much u can fake an auction sheet
that number on the far left of the top is unique
it's an auction number
the top number represent where the car location is
2nd number below is the lot no.

thats the reference number tied to the system and how the buyer can trace back the car if the buyer ever wanted to contact back the seller

when the car arrives here and something is missing(not tally with the picture/auction sheet), that's the number he use as reference to contact back the seller for clarification

just buy the car you really really like,you wouldn't mind if the caris second hand or recond

You can afford to buy an expensive when new car at 2nd hand/recond dealer, but cannot afford to maintain, what's the point?
