Hey guys.

Recently I installed this m.2 PCIE NVME SSD inside Acer Aspire A515 51G.

https://s.lazada.com.my/s.ZUV9p

However this ssd doesn't appear as a drive in "This PC".
It also does not appear as a boot option or drive option in BIOS.

When opened device manager, it is listed as PCIE SSD and is reported working perfectly.

Anyone knows what's the issue on this?
Is this SSD compatible with the laptop? Or maybe I can update the bios?

Thanks for helping! Really appreciate your help!

Can you see the drive in Disk Management?

Probably need to add a new partition to the drive first. New drive does not come partitioned.
Check disk management, the drive should be there and says something like unallocated space.

Please do let us know if the problem really solved and how it's all really going on there for all you can propose. Are you see any questions with that or what ? Do you plan to get it real ? People posted a lot of links, mine has only SSD and I am curious.

Thanks all! This worked for me. The ssd was visible in disk management. After setting some partition it appeared in my computer.

Ah crap. Just checked and it doesn't appear as a boot option or drive option in BIOS.

Is this due to the disk format?

how come the lazada pciture show m.2 sata but title is pcie.

But from the price list RM118 to get m.2 PCIE seem hard.

Funny.

Just to move OS and other frequently used software to SSD so the overall speed feel faster. A515 51G can use this SSD to boot.

It's all about your budget and the size you need I suppose.

Everything ok. It's the boot drive now.
