CF = Certificate of Fitness for Occupation. This one old Standard. It has been replaced by CCC = Certificate of Completion and Compliance
The biggest difference between the two is in the move towards self-regulation in the new system. Now the power to issue a CCC is with the professionals in charge of the project as opposed to the CF, which was issued by the local authority.


No CF/ No CCC building cannot be occupied. Certification of buildings is one of the conditions set by the government to ensure that buildings are constructed to achieve the required standards.
