Getting Started

|
Hi all, recently I just bought a MacBook Pro 2019 from local reseller, US Imported Set.
Question is i am getting some Y-Capacitor Leakage. Talk to Customer care and they say they will repair/exchange. The problem is need to send back to the place I bought.
I search google and they say I can return to local apple service center.
Anyone experience this issue before?
What is the procedure?

Verify your unit is still cover under warranty here: https://checkcoverage.apple.comSo long active, you can send to any Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Center. If it say unverified or no valid purchase date, you need to submit your proof of purchase to get it registered.

Too lazy to visit the apple service center.
Have a phone call with Apple HQ Service center, they claim that having electrical shock / electrical leakage on aluminum chasis is perfectly normal for all macbook pro. They will only exchange for me if it's above scenario causes my skin burn, hurt, bleed and etc.

If you are only facing static/ current on the body issue, you should stop using the short 2-pin/ 3-pin plug and go for the 3-pin long extension cord for the charger. https://www.facebook.com/maccores/photos/a....?type=3&theater
