just wonder why lazada and shopee want u use app more than their website?

website no more shopback and feature also less. for e.g., u cannot see the favourite list in website.

They want to track you.

Because app got access to your phone usage....

Easy, they can track you what you want to buy and blast ads in FB and Insta to show what you want to buy.
That is what I noticed so far.

I see...usually I use website to find and compare the product, then add to cart. After proceed checkout using app....

somemore I will compare the price from lazada and shopee….this will be very pain if using app....

1st is convenience, they can notify u about sale and bait u easily by phone compare to online. when u wan to buy stuff only u go there website rite?

2nd, e-wallet is embedded together with the app, make u use it.

3rd, phone got more usage access compare to website so they can track u better, eg location. even bank try to promote their app.

4th, global trend ppl spent more time on phone than pc.

This, they can track your behaviours better.

In this era, informations are money.

you can also notice big difference when doing tracking for your parcel.
use website no more tracking number provided, must use app to see.
then when bought something first time from that shop got this address verification thing, from website kenot see but from app can see. mcb betul.

as a web guy, i really hate the appification of everything.
it's no longer possible to script the site, force me to use a tiny screen, newly developed apps sometimes got bugs (which is solved by the website long time ago), etc

yeah but they should have equivalent features for app and website. then why not just close website...

I seldom use app to buy thing unless no pc because I will compare first....and use app to track delivery status and see seller's message reply

I really hate shopee app. Everytime also got problem - slow, lag, freeze, once in a while cannot pay using credit card, hang.....just really bad shopee app. Lazada app works fine always. Never had problem with it.
