Hi everyone. Can anyone advise me good Doctors to examine knee joint in Klang/Shah Alam area?

Right now, my knee always have friction and popping sound if I do squat or lunges, sometimes abit painful.

I went for traditional massage and chiro, but it does not help. So now want to check with Doctor and see what's the problem. Thank you!

Isn't that the sign that you got joint arthritis? Or osteoarthritis of knee?
Go see Ortho doct, see the condition of the knee.

Usually they will give u anti-inflammation drug and Glucosamine and chondroitin.

As an ex-patient of a knee injury, I think it's best for you to consult an orthopedic for a proper diagnosis (scans). Do not go for operation/surgery (if suggested by the Dr) yet because not all injury requires surgery. I made a mistake of going under the knife too soon before exploring other method like chiro. Now I'm under chiro therapy and it's improving.

How old are you? After you squat, is the pain/discomfort during the squat or after?

May I know how much is the cost for orthopedic consultation? Mine is in trouble too. Last few weeks can barely walk. Now a bit better without any treatment.

Those are useless to me lol. Been eating for half year and didn't even see a single improvement.
I have found a good anti inflammation food. It's the turmeric! Natural and safe.

Orthopedic specialist's consultation fee is not $. It's those MRI and CT scans which are $. MRI should be RM700-800 depends on location.

What happened to your knee?

So much pain when stand up from seating position and a bit stiff. Sometime feels knocking bones. If i tap just above the knee cap, can feel tingling pain sensation.

I see. What did you do/happened to your knee before you noticed this pain?

Stiff is not that bad haha. Probably don't need an orthopedic because it's not acute.

Try Discover Chiropractic SS2. Using pure Gonstead technique. Maybe it helps. You can YouTube first and see.

My orthopedic surgeon is Dr Khoo in Columbia Asia in Puchong.

I feel he's quite friendly and explains my problem quite well. Then again I already educated myself to a degree before going to see him.

Another good and famous doc is Dr. Gan at KPMJ Damansara ... it's quite popular and the appointment may take some time

I can't recommend Dr. Chan Kin Yuen at all.

It's been 15 months since he did the surgery to reconstruct my torn anterior crucial ligament (ACL) in my knee but I am still feeling discomfort when I walk despite doing months of physiotherapy. It's not pain but discomfort that I can feel whenever I walk.

Prior to the surgery, I didn't have any pain or discomfort in day-to-day activity whatsoever. The knee was unstable but it was fine for day-to-day activity. The knee instability only affected me if I am involved in some rigorous activity where there's a lot of fast or twisting movement on the knee. The knee gave way only when it was overextended such as when playing sports; only then was there pain.

Now, while my knee is more stable, I have discomfort every day and I feel the knee every time I walk. Not one day do I not think or feel the discomfort in my knee. I regret going for the ACL reconstruction surgery by Dr. Chan Kin Yuen. Please stay away from him.

If you don't have any pain or discomfort in your daily activity, I would advise you not to go for any ACL reconstruction surgery. If you have to go, please go to another orthopaedic surgeon.

I had done mine since year 2008 till now, of course after the post ops, the discomfort appears as the tissue inside the joint may takes time to heal and if over extreme activities, the knee tend to get swollen.
