Only three Malaysians – with deep pockets – will get their hands on the new McLaren 720S Spider, which is priced at over RM1.2 million.

The Spider, which is the latest supercar from British-based McLaren Automotive, was unveiled at The International Gallery at KLGCC here, recently.

A follow-up to the 720S Coupe, the Spider delivers hypercar performance in an open top format.

Powered by a 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, the car produces 720PS of power and 770Nm of torque.

The 720S achieves the century sprint in 2.9 seconds, and 200kph in 7.9 seconds. Its top speed is 341kph.

Like all McLarens, the Spider is fully constructed from carbon fibre. The retractable hard top on the Spider can be lowered or raised in just 11 seconds.
