Plan to change all 4 shoes, 245/40/R18

Looking for comfort.

Conti SC6 , PS4 ?

Those 2 are awesome tires but not focusing on comfort much coz they're performance tires. Anyway comfort is subjective and to me those are comfortable enough and if you also feel the same then by all means go for it. Other similar choices are Goodyear F1A3 which probably is a bit more comfortable than those 2, and then Falken FK510 and Hankook V12E2 which should be even more comfortable still.

However if you really want proper comfort tires then need to go 1-2 step lower category for example Michelin Primacy 4 or Bridgestone Turanza or Goodyear Assurance Triple Max

Can take a look at GY EfficientGrip Performance

or the normal EfficientGrip if you want RFT option

I heard about Hankook V12, is this consider performance tires or comfort tires ....it is way cheaper than PS4 as well

Performance tires but got relatively softer sidewall for such type of tires so pretty comfortable too but not as sharp handling as PS4. Best value for money in this high performance category now.

If you're looking for comfort and you have the budget for the Michelin PS4..

I'd highly recommend the Michelin Primacy 4.

This seller is quite gooding and reputable.

Not run flat tire (RFT).

A RFT could cost an average of RM1000 to RM2000 per piece;e.g., RM1900 for a F30 3-Series.

For the price for 1 RFT, I can buy 1 whole (4 piece) set of Michelin PS4 or Primacy 4.

Why spend the extra money just to save yourself the trouble to change a spare tire, to drive to a nearby tire shop? In the end, you're going to throw away that punctured tire anyway (RM1900 gone).

IMO, forget RFT; waste of money. RFT won't corner and as comfortable as a normal tire.

Sorry to hijack TS thread.

Looking at the lazada link, there is no 245/40/R18 for the R18 range...don't really know how it works..i believe i should be looking at 245/45/R18 right? 45 meaning the wall will be 'fatter' than 40?

245/45 has 11cm sidewall height while 245/40 has 9.8cm, so 1.2cm difference which is a lot.

How do you calculate these numbers or is there any online calculator that you recommend? Bottom line, the radius + sidewall height needs to be the same?

p/s..i just found out the R is for the diamater measurement, not radius

245/45 = 24.5cm x 0.45 = 11cm
245/40 = 24.5cm x 0.4 = 9.8cm

Which shop you went? Cheap?

i'm planning to change 4 tyres (225/50/R17) in the next 1-2 month. After seeing review, most probably will go for either Hankook V12 or Primacy 4 (have budget for PS4 but i seldom drive the car - only for long distance usage, so is a waste).

Am looking for durability (can keep for >5 years coz seldom drive the car) and comfort. Any recommendation? Wanted to know price comparison and which shop got offer (I am willing to travel as far as Klang/Kemuning area) Thx!

If seldom drive then any tires also will last long la, so no need to have durability as the main criteria. V12E2 with 320 tread wear should be more than sufficient. You can get at W.D. Sport rim & Tyre, or S One Tyre & Sport Rims.
