"Shafee raises that Najib is suffering from infectious conjunctivitis in both eyes, which happened overnight.


“I am made to understand from his conversation with Dr Balqis this morning at the Mid Valley eye centre, that it must have started from yesterday,” Shafee says.


Najib, he adds, has been given a three-day leave up until this Friday.


The prosecution, replies V Sithambaram, supports the adjournment for the week.


“It looks pretty bad in both eyes. In view of the medical condition of the accused, the prosecution supports the adjournment. Conjunctivitis is highly contagious we might all end up with the same infection,” Sithambaram says jokingly.


“In view of that I make a suggestion… perhaps this case can be called for mention on Friday. And secondly I will speak to the 1MDB team to facilitate the continuity of this case, at least until the completion of the prosecutions’ case withiout further ado.” he adds.


Nazlan responds that the court ‘has no choice’ but to adjourn the matter, and has set case mention on Monday 10am."
