So I hit and scratched the wall of some tiang in a mall and my poor Honda Jazz became like this cry.gif

user posted image

It's a 2 year old car, and it's such an eyesore to me doh.gif
1. Is it necessary for me to replace the whole bumper to fix it?
2. I am from Sabah but currently working in KL, so I m not very familiar around the area, can anyone please suggest me where to go to repair this? Anywhere in KL/Selangor is fine.

Thanks!

If you need to use your car or you don't want to leave it at the workshop, you can just change the bumper but it is costlier then fixing it. The scratches on the fender doesn't look too bad.

Which area are you from? There are plenty of shops almost at every corner in kl/Selangor

The workshop can just paste it and repaint, cost around Rm400. Takes around 2 to 3 days.

Thanks for your reply.

Depending on the cost to repair vs to get a new bumper, any idea roughly how much would it be?
Also how long does it take usually if I leave it at the workshop? I do need my car for work, but will figure something out if I really need to leave it at the workshop. If it's going to take very long + the price to change bumper is not much more expensive, then I might just get a new bumper.
I travelled quite often around PJ/Subang/Puchong area, any good recommendation?

You can try asking at this shop, if no serious dent shouldn't be too expensive

Should be able to put in for repair in the morning and collect in the evening. Changing a new bumper will definitely be much more expensive.

Can always request seller to send for painting, my friend. And yes, the cost will be higher, but not a lot of difference.

Are you sure seller will handle the painting or you just think so? Never heard of auto supplier giving this sort of service. In any case the paint is not going to match for a 2 year old car if the workshop doesn't do any mixing and matching so the car must be in the workshop. Hardly any saving in time.

Replacement will easily triple or quadruple the cost of repairs and I don't think that's a small difference. We are not some first world countries where the labour is sky high and parts are cheap so replacement over repair is a viable economic option.

I think you need to gain more experience before you start giving advice, ya?

LOL friend.

Yes, there are sellers who do that. I don't give opinion/suggestions based on assumptions or I think so. I've repainted my bumper, I have also changed my bumper before, not experienced enough?

Respray and repair also won't guarantee to match the original body colour because of exposure to acid rain/sun etc, quality of workmanship, quality of paint plays a role too. Hopefully ts goes to a reputable shop.

I think you should stop assuming that people who give different opinions/suggestions from yours have no experience, ya? There are more than 1 solution for this issue. Saying I need to gain experience before giving advice is so shallow.

I just offered my opinion/suggestion to ts.

If somehow I triggered you, I apologise.
