I saw there is promotion cost 2699 or 2799 come with lens, with 2Gb memory, accy u mention above, as well as the cleaner.

that is just the standard body only, where is the kit lens? without the kit lens and selling @ RM2500 is expensive..

not really useless, they're pretty good for starters.
starters can learn how to fully utilise the lens, and learn to it's limit before calling it useless..

Yes. Its a good lens for starters. Plus the 18mm will be good for landscape if you're getting into that. You don't have to buy an expensive lens for now and 55mm is good for potraits.......

Kit lens can be very good, if you know how to use it.

I saw some shops are selling for RM 2800 (body+kit lens) with 2gb memory and bag.

u can get canon 400D kit (body + 18-55mm)
and 2gb CF at around 2500~2600 easily in BB plaza or Sg Wang.
most the shop give that price.
