I have a MacBook Pro 2017 model and sent to Apple malaysia for repair. They discovered my ssd is faulty which cause my mbp couldn’t wake up after put asleep for long hour. It is no longer under warranty. They charging me a cost which is quite high for the replacement. Should I go for other 3rd party repair should for the replacement ? But concerned now is 3rd party normally give shorter warranty period and will they have enough experience ?

I think the SDD on those are actually soldered-on chips on the mobo? Not surprising if they're charging for complete mobo replacement.
No third party can assist if this should be the case.

Looks like it's easily removable so I wouldn't be too worried going with 3rd party. Maybe just make sure the SSD is of good quality. https://blog.macsales.com/41417-unboxing-of...-removable-ssd/
