Update after installation and testing.
......---->>> this cooler is very hard to install. I struggled with it for almost 30 minutes. And when i wanted to take it out after installing, it was another level of difficulty. I had to use quite some force to force the clip out, i was afraid i might crush my cpu, break the amd stock plastic bracket or worse, break the motherboard.. whoever designed the brackets needs to rethink the design.

---performance is excellent. Overclocked my cpu from 3.5ghz to 4.0ghz, and my apu from 1100mhz to 1615mhz and ran prime95 and furmark. System stable and this is not even the max. Max temperature at 76°C (room temp 26°C) during 30 minutes torture test.

Due to the cooler bracket design, i would not recommend this cooler to newbies with amd processor. Intel yes, it is easier to install.

Todei i will talk about the best performance budget low profile cpu cooler u can buy..according to my research lol. Not include those china brands ya.

Who should buy?
1. Those with limited casing size. Cooler height only at 120cm.
2. Those who wan quiet performance. Cooler max noise only at a low low 24.9dBA when max.
3. Those who want good cooling performance. <80°C for our weather with high overclocked cpu (according to many reviews)
4. And finally, its cheap at only RM139.
5. Fan with fluid dynamic bearings.
6. Those with tall rams
7. Those who wan to keep the vrams and other motherboard components cool.

Nope. Everybody knows RGB adds the cooling performance by 20%.

add on 1 point. 120mm height is not call low profile.

Red color means your processor gets more performance but get a lot hotter
Blue color means that the temperature is a lot cooler and you get a lot less stuttering in games
Green is a balance between the two red and blue settings

D9L slightly lower cooling performance, at double the price compared to scythe choten. How is that better?

Which model? My casing only can go max 152cm, and i prefer top flow air flow due to cool my vram also

Cm hyper 212 is staple for 3rd party fan for decade. Its not low profile but not that big either.

that's not low profile. low profile is something like cryorig c7 at 47mm.

This scythe choten keep skin. poor bracket who buy who regret later.

if you buy ryzen 3600 and up, it's better to get a 6 heatpipe cooler, so there is direct contact to a pipe to the sides.
4 heatpipe cooler usually doesn't cover to the side enough.

if no budget can just use amd wraith prism that come with their processor, performance actually not that bad as it could outperform cyorig h7 with 12cm fan

even hardocp said that if you dont plan to OC or just OC a little, it is likely be all the cooler you ever need. I guess the same cant be said to intel stock cooler

So thats why bought an aftermarket cooler. And must push the air down to cool down the vram also

Yes i struggle with it a long time.. damn whoever design the bracket needs to get fired. And i cant get it out once i fix it. Must use very hard force...even afraid i might break the motherboard or the motherboard's plastic bracket. Gosh...really facepalm. Will update my first post

heatpipes only give you one or 2 hours max at full speed though ...

Costs 5 - 10x price of budget coolers
Weighs a lot compared to budget coolers (watch out for die crush)
Overclocking doesn't go as far as it used to (even 10+% for Ryzen is pushing it).

I think we are already at the point where the best you can go is one category higher through overclocking, example: overclock a 3600 you'll get performance close to stock 3600x (just an example).

Overclocking really looking like expensive, low-return activity. Personally I just recommend a budget cooler and stay within stock, unless you have the money to replace the processor.

I use scythe mugen 5 to cool of my Ryzen 2700x .So far so good.Really recommend it since it easy to install n really quite cooler

Not quite. Red where hottest area, blue cool area, green in between.

I got my apu from 3.5ghz to 4.0ghz (15% increase) and my gpu from 1100mhz to 1615mhz (45% increase). System is stable after torture test, max temp at 76°C. Can still increase, but i will stop here for now

I use Fractal Design Node 304. Can fit my old Cooler Master TPC-812 (165mm tall). Core i5-9600K at 4.7Ghz 71C max. Didn't push even more cause my power supply is Corsair SF450 with GTX 1070.

OK keep monitoring it, electromigration is an issue the smaller the node size. Let us know when it stops booting properly
