You don't have to put everything on sleep mode though

I notice one huge issue with 12gb ram is everything doesn't sleep and runs in the background. It took a hell lot of battery.

I put stuff i don't need into sleep mode and the battery difference is noticeable.

I haven't tried with WhatsApp though

I also have greenify albeit non root to one click force close all unwanted apps. Sometimes apps marked for sleep doesn't seem to sleep, or meet some unknown criteria to sleep
