It's like watching Interstellar all over again. The last act betrays the first two set-up act. Pattison's casting came as distraction for me as you know full well you don't cast a recognizable actor just for the sake of sidekick role. Matt Damon??! The actors performances not the issues here. It's the story expectations that don't click for me.

Mind you, I'm not saying I understand what the hell is going on with time inversion and don't care if I don't get it. I felt it's just a ruse to move plot forward from a to b. Villain's motivation is one note and repeating the Memento-esque quality in how it's being resolved. No inclination to rewatch because it's bad or anything like that. Just that I'm getting restless with Nolan repeating what he has done before without breaking new ground. It's at a point of familiarity breeds contempt.
