I would say that this is a better option for a student who likes playing games on the PC.

Thank you guys for the opinions. Already test drive the Dell G7 but it is too heavy for me lmao. I bought ROG Strix G instead. More lighter and affordable at the lowest spec.

Hello, I’m currently searching for a new laptop for my study. One of the model that I’m really interested is Dell G7 and the weight is around 2.5kg. Is it suitable for student use in term of weight? Need to angkut ulang alik pergi library, kelas, group discussion etc.

Or instead, should I get more lighter and potable laptop such as Asus Zenbook or Acer Swift?

2.5kg is okay if you have a laptop bag.

You should have opted for the Macbook Air since 1.3kg is heavy for you to carry.

Upgrade by all means if you can afford it. It would be healthier for your back and shoulders

2.5kg is depend how u carry to collage.
To be honest you might consider about the total of weight, not only the laptop weight itself.

For example: your backpack and some books etc.
With your accessories and laptop power brick = charger adapter else.

The total weight could be more than 5kg easily.

If you can dont buy those gaming laptop for study.

In the market such as LG gram, Asus, Acer Swift 5 or 7 or ThinkPad T495s or X395 or IdeaPad S940, or many more laptops less than 2kg, make sure you can get those battery life >5 hours to reduce your weight for carry extra powerbank and laptop power charger as well.

Kinda shocked me there for a bit. If carrying back and forth every day would be tiring for your back, which isn't very healthy.

actually if you "train" it everyday the correct way, it won't hurt your back but you will get a stronger back too wink.gif
