Last month, I shared the speedtest for my unifi air that I just registered for my office. It was 3x Mbps. Now after a month with 2xx GB usage, I find myself stucked at around 7-12Mbps. What a huge difference. I dont know what happened but the signal strength for 20mhz drop like hell to between 0-2. I turned on B5+B40 10mhz and signal strength could reach 8. If B5 only, then even worse 3mbps.

Although I'm complaining, but it's not like I had any other choice since my boss self developed this factory. Pulling fibre from the nearest point cost over RM10k. Paying RM79 now is much better than the RM99 1Mbps streamyx we used to pay. Yes, you heard me right, 1Mbps for RM99.

so if the area don't have TM 4G signal, totally cannot connect at all via 3G?

Also does Unifi Air and Unifi mobile share the same 4G/LTE cell towers? because on Unifi Mobile coverage check the 4G coverage is A LOT while on Unifi Air coverage check is it tiny.

Hi guys, can the unifi air sim card put on phone and use for hotspot and as normal bring around mobile data anywhere we go as long as there are coverage?

Or the unifi air can only use at home (registered address or anywhere else with coverage as hotspot or tethering with phone/router?

Anf is there any speed cap for unifi air as of unifi bebas at around 8mbps? When I read through the threat some people say got cap while some say no cap.

Yes you can use mobile phone as hotspot and bring it with you everywhere you go. As long there is coverage.

the reason unifi air coverage seems tiny because during marketing they promise 20mbps speed. this speed cannot reach if on Band 5. must band 40 or band 38. hence the coverage map for unifi air only shows places with band 40 and band 38.

in reality. unifi air sim cards will connect to 4G Band 5 band 38 and band 40. it will not connect to 3G like unifi mobile can.

I'm using Unifi Air in TM Band 5 area, there is still no Band 40 at my place.
So my area are out of Unifi Air coverage Area.
I'm apply only SIM card and test.

I try Unifi Air with Dlink 921 200meter near the Band 5 tower, get 15-20mbps download.
My home 2km far away to Tower, get 1-9mbps.

unifi roaming to Celcom 4G is fake news

They signed network sharing agreement with celcom for unifi mobile, maybe it's not applicable to unifi air

Better try take SIM Card only if you wanna test, dont take 24 month contract.
I'm also apply at TM point SIM card only for Unifi Air.

I think Unifi Air not sharing CELCOM tower.
It just using Webe tower Band 5 and 40 only.

not so sure about whether the news is true or not but so far I am using unifi postpaid/prepaid mobile, I never connected to celcom 4g, only when unifi mobile no line then only I will change to h+ or 3g of celcom

if unifi no line then the celcom logo shown on your phone?

quick question, if only getting the Unifi Air Sim Card, i have to pay RM79, correct?
OR should i just try with #bebas prepaid?

No. It still show unifi but it is only h+ and a lot slower compared to 4g connection.

Air u need to pay 100 for the upfront if u took the sim only. If u wan the device have to be bind by 24 month contract.

The upfront will be use to deduct your monthly payment.
