im using a t390 i7 from work..
build quality has dropped from old lenovos/ibm..
it gives me electrical shocks from time to time..
no time to take it back to shop to replace either. just be aware when you purchase your lenovos.

QUOTE(kuci_mayong @ Oct 15 2019, 11:32 AM) i really enjoy going on reddit viewing how the people there able to use 10 year old thinkpad for everyday use. those ones still had IBM DNA inside.. different from todays chinese versions. I use a lenovo for work purposes, it usually breaks and need changing after 3 years or so.. infact, my latest 2018 model Thinkpad needs changing soon as it is leaking current from the bottom right-hand side.. every now and then I get stung by it..

QUOTE(msacras @ Oct 15 2019, 01:41 PM) Current leakage in metal build laptops are fairly common occurrences in laptop of all brands. It also tells about earthing problem with your house/units, so better take note on that. If the earthing is working, you shouldt feel the shock. my lenovo thinkpad is all plastic bro.. if my house have earthing prob, then my office, my clients office, the airport, etc all have leaking problem. it's the laptop that keeps giving me shocks if i rest my palm too close to the leak area, usually close to where the thinkpad logo is located..
