Yeap, actually much better than my previous option, was planning to go with 3 year Carry-in Warranty at RM229, now they offer 3 year Premier Onsite Support for 80% off. I am very happy.

From what I know, as long as your laptop is in warranty period, they allow to upgrade. Just my assumption though, best to check with Sales Rep or CS.

Battery wear still in the zero percent

Wait you get your Thinkbook, might decide to change to that as your daily travel machine.

Thinkbook 13s
Dimensions (W x D x H) 307.6mm x 216.4mm x 15.9mm / 12.11" x 8.52" x 0.63"

X395
Dimensions (W x D x H) 311.9mm x 217.2mm x 16.9mm / 12.28" x 8.55"x 0.66"

Actually i wont buy extended warranty or NBD if didnt get rm1 warranty.

Unless this is your personal working laptop that you cannot afford any downtime.

And to be frank i feel that computer is a very matured product so if it can survive year 1 it can survive the next few years.

But a good deal is a good deal laugh.gif

Depends what type of person you are, I like one thing and one thing that can last long.
You know reddit got this subreddit called r/BuyItForLife ?

So this is just one of those situations where instead buying new laptop when it breaks down, you are able to claim warranty to fix it, long run you save money if anything happened to your laptop. And if nothing happens, well it was RM159 for 3 years (RM53/year). The opportunity cost is low.

That title goes to ry8128, he will probably be the first Malaysian to own Thinkbook 13s, who know maybe Lenovo Malaysia CEO even come his house to officially hand over it. haha.

Mine is same as you though, still pending, now estimated shipping date is October 26, 2019.

Sometime the thing is 2nd got motherboard issue , we can’t expecting, like macbook selling so expensive, one year is maximum for me
*
So pay small warranty RM159 now better than having to fork out RM1000 later if really got motherboard issue.

Like car also, partly depends on luck. I know people Volkswagen beetle that is 20 year old still running well, then i also know people buy new Peugeot that always need send to workshop.

Just one thing warranty MALAYSIA or Singapore cannot extension or upgrade like offer in the US.
*
What do you mean by this? Actually I am doing warranty upgrade. From 1 year Carry-in Warranty to 3 year Premier Onsite Support. So it is sort of an extension or upgrade.

And I am in Malaysia.

In. But you go warranty check can do add on extra from 2nd years to 5 years and add on accidentally with battery also international warranty as well.
Just check out with PayPal will do
*
You mean warranty upgrade only offered in Malaysia and SG only?

US got no such offers? Once you buy in US, cannot upgrade the warranty?

Aiyoh, SG or MY warranty upgrade before you check out.
In US can extend like Apple cares with 30 days.
But Lenovo can do 11 months later
*
Ohhh! okay understand. That is good of Lenovo actually.

Vs
US model

Its awesome for US users

For me if you go to Lenovo Vantage software under "warranty and services" or https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/my/en/warrantylookup, they do give option to upgrade the warranty. Maybe they allow me because currently I only have 1 year warranty, whereas I see your system have 1083 days (maybe that is the maximum and they cannot upgrade anymore for you - just a guess?).

This is how my warranty upgrade screen looks like for my T495:

In case any of you don't know, the tracking number for our unshipped laptop has actually already been created, it doesn't show up in OVP as it hasn't arrived at the UPS facility yet.

You can visit
https://www.ups.com/track?loc=en_US&requester=ST/

and click the "Track By Reference Number", then enter your order number as the reference and you will see your tracking for all your items including the laptop, mouse and bag (if you bought all of them)
*
I tried this and put my order number into "Shipment Reference", but it says "Date Range / To is required."

Do you get the same error message?

Anyways, my money in CC has finally been deducted for the ThinkBook 13s. So I assume they have finally shipped it today. Just that the OVP site hasn't been updated with any UPS tracking number yet.

In my experience weekend normally no update or activity. Even you see the activity that is being discuss today was activity between 22nd-25th and only now being reflected in the system.
