Hello all. Just want to ask. I've been taking vitamin C for many years, especially those soluble drop into a cup a water before drinking.

I notice everytime after drink and pee, my urine will be dark orange. Been taking redoxon (very dark orange) and cebion (yellowish). My pee release eh colour exactly like the liquid I take in. So my question is, is the colouring dangerous or harmful to our kidney?

Vitamin C is one of the water-soluble vitamins that will be excreted via kidneys. As long as your kidney is fine, the excretion will take place and no accumulation will occur (eventho overdose is not entirely impossible especially in IV administration, but really rare).

So to answer your question, usually the cycle of kidney damage due to Vitamins when the kidney is already have some degree of injury (Chronic Kidney Disease), and the unregulated vitamins intake may precipitate the damage to further progress.

But if you seeing your urine color changing, it means, roughly, that your kidney is doing what its supposed to - which is clearing out the vitamins.

Not saying about the vitamins, but more to the colouring. In long term, is it bad?

If you've tried Cebion and Redoxon, as I mentioned in my thread, Redoxon tablet colour when it is fully dissolved in water, is quite strong orange. Cebion is a lighter orange colour.

Isn't both of these, just colouring? But is it bad if I take them everyday when the colouring is so thick?

Its fine, as long as your kidney is fine in the first place.

Kidney is fine and all is fine. But won't it be harmful in the long run? Like we always take charcoal grill foods. Short term, liver no issue. But long term, will cause cancer.

Aren't they the same?

No, different entity.

You can reduced the consumption of the supplements if its worrying you. Long run you might end up being hypertensive due to worrying too much.
