As refer to above , im here to asking comment and vote from those Dota player/team. Please do speak up if you agree what i'm saying

Everyone should know what is Asian WCG that held in Singapore. This year Asian WCG qualifying won't be held in Malaysia due to some organizer problem but the organizer will directly asked team RoA to represent for Malaysia without any qualifying. Do you all think is this fair for other team around Malaysia? I know team RoA currently is top in Malaysia but doesn't mean that they can represent Malaysia without any qualifying ...If they do so , what about other team?? What for they play and train so hard for dota? If the organizer did like that , it mean they doesn't give any chance to other team. It's like killing our Malaysia Dota scene. What for we still playing Dota if the chance is just giving to the top team without any qualifying to prove who is better? If this case happen that they just send RoA to represent Malaysia without any qualifying mean the organizer is breaking the hope of other Dota player . Please be fair to everyone , every of dota player also hope to have the chance to prove themself. This is the reason why every of dota frenzy everyday play and train so hard for dota, they also wish that they can represent for Malaysia but if no chance was giving , how the player to make commitment to DotA community anymore?

My main purpose to create this thead is to get everyone comment and vote
Please do vote if the organizer should held the qualifying in Malaysia or just send team RoA to represent Malaysia without any qualifying.

my vote goes to RoA..
Ct'1 i tink is the best team in Malaysia rite now..
no offense to big teams out there..
but locally tourney Ct'1 is the most fearest team to against with..
in one of the tourney.. sum ppl say "wah.. meet RoA 1st round better give up la, no chance winning" >.<
in MYM also.. RoA is the only team from Malaysia right?
so i guess RoA really deserved to represent Malaysia.. >.<

i think is not big problem if organizer dun wan held qualifying....

if any team feel they better than RoA represents malaysia, then they can just take like say RM500 sidebet with RoA , play 1 match, if RoA lose, then the other team take their place, but if other team lose, RoA take the RM500, sounds fair??

so any team that feel unfair can have chance challenge RoA for the place in Asia WCG icon_rolleyes.gif

Its like big eat small in this kind of scenario. You know, never give up after you have tried your best, while giving up right away, its just prove how unconfident you are. Hopefully some teams will stand up and challenge RoA. In gaming, the best is not about everything, its about sportmanship and fun.

In my opinion, should be fair to other teams too.Although now days we all know that RoA is the tough team to beat and representing Malaysia in MYM 6, but should not forget the last time who representing Malaysia is SK.So, i think of how about a group of top team in Malaysia(league) and decide which team is the top seat. For ex, in the group RoA,mkvl,SK,w4si,CT'e,wizz,Auto-DOP.......and others team that have the title
last time should i say rclxms.gif ....just my opinion nod.gif

Helding qualifiers is not a problem, but whos going to bear the expenses for organizing the qualifiers?
If there's anyone, any sponsors, any organization willing to pay the expenses, I'm sure there's alot ppl out there wanna handle the qualifiers.

Actually organizing a qualifier is not an easy task for the either In2 or SMM. SMM have to concentrate on their national tourney while In2 is preparing for WCG. Who's going to sponsor this qualifier? Which CC will be so generous to do so?

Actually, the qualifier had been held if we look it at the other way, Sino Net tournament brings almost all the top teams around in Malaysia together and obviously, RoA got the desired result there. Just name me one of the top team that didnt participate in Sino tourney?

I think if there's any top team around that is not satisfied, they can always issue an challenge as Synzo propose, but IMO, silence=acceptance.

RoA represent as malaysia team, no doubt for that.
ACG choose RoA as represent team because they win alot of title in the past 6~7 month. Well, dun say not giving any chances for other team, just RoA deserved that, in sino tourney everyone can see how well is their team work, super gosu.

p/s: i vote wrong -.-" i tot Yes mean ROA is our reprenstative -.-""

According to what I heard, the other lists of WCG games representative are chosen by In2 company, only the representative for DoTA is choosen by SMM.

If SMM did not held the qualifiers, the authority of choosing the final team would be given to In2 marketing.

They would choose the final team either from the 2006 WCG Champion or the present DoTA situation according to In2 marketing. (In the current DoTA situation, if Wizz team is disband, they will choose the current unofficial top team which is ROA)

If I am wrong please correct me and if I have offended anyone , I here and foremost apologised for it.

I'll switch this topic to a new topic which will consists of a poll concerning whether there should have a qualifier for all the WCG games list or use the decision of In2 marketing to choose a team to represent Malaysia in ACG.

I do think that no matter how strong is ROA we should get a chance to compete with them for a contender right. All team should have improve lately. It's like pure cheating. What the hell is actually In2 doing. I cant believe that we cant even find a sponsor for a big event like Qualifying for a competition WCG. Dude it's like a World Cup for Dota people. Dam u In2 give us back our right.

Its right to stand up for what you believe it but I think that you should check the facts before you accuse In2 of being unfair towards the Dota community in Malaysia. Strong word like cheating shouldn't be use here since no official announcement had been made until now.

Just chill, wait and see whether what is In2 and SMM planning right now. I talk to some people from SMM before and I heard that a qualifier was proposed, although I'm not sure on their final decision.

If there are any dissatisfaction then I think the people from Wizz will be the first to stand up here since they were the WCG champion last year. Peace out icon_rolleyes.gif

well guys. its true that a qualifier is needed to pick a team to represent malaysia. if the qualifier is not possible, ofcourse they will pick the best team as in the most stable team with wins and less loses. and the team that possess this quality at the moment should be RoA.

Thing is, why would they NOT want to have a qualifier? If they think it's just easier to just pick a team and send them as Malaysia's representative, then they are really unprofessional. Firstly because that promotes biasness, and it's all their opinion on which is the best team. Even if they do discuss with SMM, it's still something between them and SMM, nothing to do with the DotA teams in general.

I am not bashing RoA, but this is a matter of representing the country. Which team would not want to represent their country? To promote fair play, qualifiers should be held. It is not about 'sending the best team'. It's about showing all the other teams that they too, have a chance, provided they show that they are the best.

My thoughts. =\

If they really decide NOT to hold the qualifiers, I hope they come up with a decent explanation.

Actually, i do hope there is a qualifier round, at least improve others team also, RoA isnt unbeatable, at least if you compare them with oversea team, just have more match, and thier skill level would increase.

wat nara say was true, who win jb batu pahat tourney, who represent loh biggrin.gif
IF RoA win again, i think that will shut your mouth.

Top team always being discuss. when a underdog team win, everyone will surprise at first, and then salute the underdog team because they will done something impossible, if a top team win underdog team, that is nothing, because everyone know that it already WIN before game start.
Well if you still dun understand, i give u an example, when Man UTD win Malaysia for 3-0 or More you will say "SURE LA, can lose one meh ?" but if Man UTD lose to malaysia, will your get shock ? eye will like >>> this shocking.gif i think biggrin.gif
another example, RoA win their match against T_T in MYM PRIDE #6 group qualifying round (T_T is MYM PRIDE #5 Champion), everyone from dota-allstars forum say that miracle, who is RoA ? what is that ? only malaysian know what RoA is, western ppl no body know, beause they only know ASIAN TEAM is piece of shit, well, ROA prove that malaysia boleh biggrin.gif

seriously, if you think organize any tournament or qualifying is so easy ? without any company or cc support, i don't think you will make it success, unless you take your own pocket money and do it.

easier done then say or easier say then done, you know i know la biggrin.gif

To thread starter,

U think u good enough to defeat ROA in qualifier ?

I think this is neither fair nor unfair but i think this is reasonable as ROA is the TOP team in Malaysia.

What kind of unfair u are talking about ? So much as i know, ROA won alot of competition and tournament around. I don't see that they don't deserve this.

All i can say is this thread starter is just jealous about it.

Ok, its time to make some clarification now. First of all, as my mate kahwai85 mentioned before, RoA haven't received any invitation or news regarding being the representative of Malaysia Dota team. So its quite unfair to create much issue of this at this moment. Honestly, I do believe that a qualifier is fair and if there will be any qualifier for the coming ACG, we'll sure participate in it.

It there will be no qualifier instead and RoA is chosen to represent Malaysia, I will be lying it I said I'm not happy with it. This is a rare opportunity and it is a great honour to represent our country in such major gaming event.
