Next plan is to get a Bluetooth WiFi gateway.    can directly configure even without gateway or internet? directly connect the lock through bluetooth and configure with mihome app, is it? |

The fuction of the bluetooth gateway is to send push notification to your phone on the door status i.e. unlocked, intrusion etc, and also remote checking status of the door. For safety purposes, you need to be physically in range with the door to configure the settings. They dont allow you to configure remotely. thanks for confirming this. it's for my new house and worry that i can't configure the lock if there is no wifi internet install yet. |

do you need a gateway to connect the smart lock?
how you going to connect this lock to the internet to alert you if intruded?
