» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « can i use ordinary nipper from the hardware store, instead of Hobby Nipper? In the long run, a branded 1 will get you far far away (more model kits to build). No need to go as far as to the best you can get but a good nipper do you better when cutting parts out, ordinary 1 has that shape that blocks you from cutting parts out especially in smaller runners Can i use Hardware store's sandpaper? Yes, as long as you know the roughness for it. Is there any different from using wood sandpaper and use metal sandpaper? maybe other forumer can answer for that. i didn't even knew there is other kinds of sandpaper. since i'm just painting the missing color, would gundam marker suitable for me? Yes, im a marker user myself. but get yourself a small and large brush depending on the surface size you're painting. can i use those masking tape from the stationary shop? Yes, but check glue on it. some masking tape have residual "gam" when removing. try a few (on the runner, not the parts), see whats best for your. does spraying matte coating smells? i haven't found a proper area to spray them. i fear i would offend the neighbourhood. or maybe i'll leave it no coating. maybe other forumer can answer for that is there a difference if i order from Gundam.my or Shoppe's Gundam.my? i have very little experience buying things online. shopee got cheaper vouchers and sometimes free shipping? i've bought something from their shopee store as well. QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jul 1 2020, 12:44 PM) thanks. i actually have no intention to pimp up the sinanju i mean since mg sinanju is known to break at waist part using the original parts. why risk breaking again? 3rd party kits are always expensive. <a quick googling later>......i might as well buy a new sinanju stein instead. that way i'll have the parts AND another sinanju |

QUOTE(C-Note @ Sep 16 2020, 11:03 AM) any idea where to look for these models in KL? Have been away from KL for long time As for KL (literally in KL) only a few shops left.. (not alot to begin with but now is lesser)also, are there any basic modelling classes to go for? interested in simple gunpla building skills like spray painting, simple weathering etc GamersArena - Times Square FantasyToys - Lowyat Time"something" - which i cant find the physical shop anymore mostly now just online buy, free shipping and whatnot after certain RM of purchase.. classes.. lol i only see a community at penang (dunno about kl) doing discussion and what not.. and has a community place that they go to with airbrush booth and a table for building it. they sell some models kits (very little) and tools Brotherhood Player Studio ( no longer at shops, but is a home) |

QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Oct 8 2020, 02:36 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « PG Unleashed highlights: -Preassembled frame to save assembly time. -Layout frame similar to MG Alex 2.0's Chobham frame. Come molded in good metallic color. -Better open hatches than previous PGs. -RGB LED in eyes, chest vents. There is also light gimmick on beam saber(they give 3 beam saber holder but I assume only one is lighted up) -Metal parts for backpack's inner thrusters, and head's vulcan. -Photo-etching details and also 3D realistic stickers given to enhance the detail look. Still no confirmation whether we get the waterslides decals or not. For me worth to buy than MGEX. Just at a bit more money for PG Unleashed and you got beautiful PG This post has been edited by gaiachronicler: Oct 8 2020, 08:08 PM |
