But if the reading is 5.4, I should start worry already,
because "For the majority of healthy individuals, normal blood sugar levels are as follows: Between 4.0 to 5.4 mmol/L (72 to 99 mg/dL) when fasting."(note below)
Reading of 5.4 indicating I am at the border line to become diabetes.
while reading 5.1 indicating I am safe.

Some other reference may also give until 5.5~5.8 before considered diabetes.because "For the majority of healthy individuals, normal blood sugar levels are as follows: Between 4.0 to 5.4 mmol/L (72 to 99 mg/dL) when fasting."(note below)

It is not a magical number,
like 5.4, no diabetes, viola
5.5 then you are declared as diabetes.
Not like that.
Those number are man-made recommendation, some may give reference 5.5, some may also give 5.6.
If one test is 5.1, another 5.4, I would say, there is nothing to worry.
It is just a reference range, as long as it stay within the range, a 0.1 is not significant number to be worried upon, but it is always good to control blood glucose disregard whether one is diabetes or not.
If really want to have accurate number, go for Hba1c test. This is the most accurate number to know the glucose level.
