It is wrong. Must get JAKIM approval 1st before can declare.
My ex-company even got recognized halal certification for the raw material, but we sell in finish goods. (It means the raw material goes thru the manufacturing process). JAKIM will certify Halal based on the registered product name. Then only can declare HALAL in the market

and since MUI is accepted branch by JAKIM, so XFT ok aje

but u see the title...straight away claim XFT issue fake cert

maybe need to fwd to XFT management/HR

but this shameless company cheating people with a fake certificate, that's a fraud.

for those who confused why sugar water needs halal cert, its this: 
Each certifying organization has its own procedures and requirements. In general, however, products will be checked to ensure that:

Raw material, processing aid ingredients, processing, sanitation chemicals and packaging meet the Islamic dietary requirements, primarily that no alcohol or pork products are used.

Flavoring ingredients and solvents must be from halal sources (no ethyl alcohol, for example).

Meat products (non-pork) have been slaughtered under Islamic zabiha guidelines.

someone from JAKIM emailed MUI and MUI said the cert was a fake.

not sure if blind or stupid.

a multi million company want to cheat using fake halal cert that only required to pay money consider ingredient is basically water and sugar? don't think so

Well. tbf, if u look at XFT's post, they only said, we are certified halal, and didn use JAKIM icon, they use the MUI thingy icon. So technically they x salah. They are certified by MUI or MIU. It's not like they claim they certified by JAKIM.

They thot is Jakim, but in truth, XFT never mentioned they got certified by Jakim. They only said certified Halal, then use MUI / MIU. So they are not wrong.

eh edit, baru read properly. lel. But the fella that email MUI. Is that guy legit MUI anot first. Later the guy is trying to frame XFT? Unless it's a statement from MUI itself in their own webpage, clarifying the certificate is fake, then only we can trust la. That guy that said he email MUI duno who da pak is him also. LEL. Could be from competitor The Alley owai.
