Im not from shah alam but seksyen 7 is definitely a lively place because it is near the back entrance of uitm. Another place to consider is seksyen 2 near kfc and mcd open 24 hours there. These are the hangout places for uitm students mainly because of printing services and cyber cafe. The shop area near MSU and Aeon mall seksyen 13 also can be considered however inside the mall has a few boba shops already.

If u gonna start up a bubble or boba milk tea business, don't forget to include cheese tea. It could be a rising trend after boba tea. Regiustea is good, their cheese layer really tastes like real cheesecake and they are using cold brew tea of quality tea leaves. I always prefer Regiustea over others. Chatto cheese tea is ok, their cheese layer tastes more like buttery cookies instead of cheesecake. I would just rate chatto so-so only.
If u wanna make your business heard try app rewards such as maxis voucher etc. Tealive, regiustea, chatto, heycha, dayung tea, teadaye etc are doing b1f1 or free upsize offers on a monthly basis. Freebies or discount on selected day can attract people as well, students love discount. Just giving examples. It could be hard but boba tea business is blooming like madness, nowadays boba owners must be competitive. Many people keep saying The alley is good, i noticed what sets The alley apart from others is they are using fresh milk and homemade pearls. The usage of homemade pearls is laborious and can be ignored but most important thing is fresh milk. Tealive started out their boba menu using non-dairy creamer as well as many other boba shops, after The alley introduced into malaysia with their boba tea made from fresh milk, many boba shops also doing the same. Even some street vendors begin to use fresh milk and boba in their teh ais too, for the sake of trending. If cost is the factor, obviously, then u can include milk tea as the latte series. Tealive can sell as cheap as rm5.50 per cup even with b1f1 discount, it is because non-dairy creamer is cheap. If you only sell fresh milk boba tea as flagship items and have to price somewhere like The alley, then it could be difficult because shah alam most happening areas are occupied by uitm students and your price must be student friendly. No matter what you use you must always keep in mind that balanced taste is the key. The alley could be good but some find it too sweet due to the brown sugar. Some boba tea taste like water, some are complete failures. Even there are times where Tealive is selling flavorless tea, or matcha latte with matcha powder still floating around. Not everyone is perfect. But tea aroma, milk creaminess and sweetness must be kept balanced. Trust me. If u have time, try reading online about customer feedbacks on various boba tea shops. Study the pros and cons of each brand and assign your own strategy. Another thing is, this could be not a necessity but worth considering. I know all boba shops have their own black tea, but what i found is that these black milk tea smell good but it lacks the "ummph" in our teh tarik. Maybe they are using china black tea like Wuyi and Kimun. Good teh tarik must use black ceylon tea. So try include ceylon milk tea as well. Good luck!
