Ruptured Goodyear Excellence tyre with size 185/55/16. Luckily, not driving at highway at that time. Tyre is 4 year old with manufacturing date 1215 which original factory fitted on a Honda Jazz.

At first thought, the car was driven with total loss of air but upon closer inspection on the inner side of tyre, the side wall ruptured. Unlikely there is a cut, which cause the sidewall rubber to disintegrate. Your opinion..?

Usually this is caused by deflated/punctured tyre that you still drive on the road without you knowing it until it crack on the tyre sidewall.

Could be caused by the tyre being under-inflated, causing stress on the sidewall especially during cornering.

Under-inflation aka lack of air.
