My relative condo are using 50mbps on VDSL without any issue but when I apply my broadband they say my condo max is 30mbps. By the way my relative and I is staying in a same condo and his unit is on 2 floor higher than my unit. Could not brain why his is 50mbps but not mine. I even told the technician his unit number and speed test but he also say they cant do anything about it. Just my relative pure luck that he get 50mbps.

Go have a live chat with TM, talk to real agent, and ask what's going on...

Already done all the thing until technical check the line. They also say cant do anything. So I also lazy.

I think tmnut sometime not so innovative. Like just now I on live chat with the guy asking how do I subscribe for 30mbps unlimited.
He told me only new customer and existing customer on unifi basic can subscribe.

I on 30mbps for 2 year paying rm180++ per month. Contract ended next month. Didn't try to offer a good solution to retain an existing customer.
The only way I can see is cancel my unifi then resubscribe again or just subscribe to maxis.

I use Maxis no problem ah... Stable all the time...
TM Unifi also stable, but just that when it comes to customer service support, you will realise that you are smarter than them.

Now there is Unifi basic unlimited at RM89. My current one is 60GB at RM79.

I read the FAQs and the said can upgrade from 79 to 89 through the unifi app, or live chat.

Until now in the upgrade section of their app there is no option for RM89. Even on web none.

They're so inefficient. People want to give them business but simple things like this also they can do.

Is there any exception in some condo building where the copper VDSL can support 50Mbps or 100Mbps?
How come some of my friend are able to subscribe to 50Mbps or 100Mbps package previously (not recently)? And they're on VDSL copper, not fibre.

VDSL2 supports 100 Mbps rates, but not very far

TM have chosen to limit port speed to 30Mbps to suit their cheap NTE (modem) and cut down on customer complaints about connection speed

At the same time, some 100Mbps@RM129 users can't downgrade to 30Mbps@RM89 at TM Online yet, only 30Mbps@RM79 is possible.

I requested to change to RM89 from RM79. They created ticket and said someone will call me in within 3 days. 4 days no news. Looks like Monday I'll have to go to their office to change the plan. Simple thing like this also they can't do.

Just now I logged into my accounts and saw this greeting. Now it makes sense.

I cannot understand the way TM does things. Either incompetent or just ignorant.

I have a ticket requesting upgrade to RM89 package from RM79. It's now stuck at 'order processing'.
Now in their website it says the package is only available on 1st October. This line wasn't there 2 weeks ago.

But they didn't amend the promo part. Promo ends in September, but can only purchase in October.

I know I don't qualify for the promo, but this just displays incompetence.

I didn't have any trouble upgrading to the 30Mbps Unlimited plan. Just walked in to TM Point and was done 10 minutes later.

Which TMpoint branch is that? Maybe can ask those who have trouble changing to that plan to just straightaway settle it at that particular branch.

Their customer service quality are just problematic as usual.

I went to the Damansara Uptown branch. I upgraded from Unifi Lite 10Mbps (no more contract) to 30Mbps Unlimited. All went smoothly.

When I enquired about the plan 2 weeks ago via Live Chat, I was informed that it can only be done at TM Point. Suggest you just walk in this week and get it sorted out.

wonder if I should interpret the unlimited access of Quota is not the same as Unlimited quota... mine has 60GB quota, still accessible to internet after reaching quota, but will reduce to lowest speed... otherwise, screw u TM, locked me for 2yrs n now came out w promotion for unlimited basic!!! may b i should report this 2 MCMC for malpractice  brows.gif

Of all the HSBB ISPs offering fibre internet plans, TM is the most unfair when it comes to EARLY TERMINATION fees.

You'll be fined for REMAINING MONTHS if you terminate early and with each upgrade/downgrade of your plan automatically you RENEW your plan for ANOTHER 24 months.

Celcom however has the best upgrade/downgrade policy. If you downgrade just pay a small fee of RM50(not sure excat amount) and your contract still continues from where you left. Early termination only RM500 one-off let go.

Is all unifi lite 10mbps able to support/upgrade to 30mbps? Is there any condition need to meet? (VDSL could support or need fiber?)
