Hi all, I have a question to ask.

My aunt A was allocated a low cost house worth RM42,000 by the government in year 2007. However, she could not afford to pay for the unit and hence, Aunt B suggested to pay on behalf for her as a gift because aunt A has taken care of Aunt's B family for more than 10 years, and aunt A is single, 72 years old lady.

Now that the strata title is out, Aunt B came to claim that the house is hers and even applied for a private caveat to stop us from transferring the strata title from developer to Aunt A's name. She brought her family to move in to stay and is denying Aunt A's access to the house. We did offer to pay her 50% of the current market price but she insisted on 100%.

May I know who is the actual owner of the property, according to law?
