What’s the deal with IMAX version of movies? I know it’s for imax big screen, but if we what difference does it make if we watch on our small tv screen? Can someone enlighten me please.

From the top gun imax vs the normal version, looks the cinema version is a crop of the imax version. So basically the imax version you get to see more of the top and bottom part of the screen. Ok. I'm sold on imax version now
