it is a little slow at times but builds the tension v well - vilaneuve specialty as seen in Sicario and Blade Runner 2049.

this part 1 is only 80% of the 1984 movie which is 1/2 of book1.

u gotta watch the tv series 2000, 2003 (covers books 2+3) if u cannot wait. biggrin.gif

i doubt anyone will ever make movies/tv for books 4-8.

i watch is over last weekend also
army of the thieves <-- its a light version of army of dead.. less violence.. i admire the scenery of this film.. very beautiful shot/created laugh.gif .

ada 1 scene there the female lead jump out from the car.. outskirt scene and the scene where they r trying to escape from lake.. thumbsup.gif

yes, there r parts that cud hv been done better.

but... since i have watched all available videos made on DUNE, i will say it is a very very long story, hard to put everything in 2+hrs for even half a book.

it is not Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones, not 2001 Space Odyssey or Star Trek franchises.

i only see story parallels with STAR WARS and FOUNDATION.

i look forward to Dune Part 2... and +++!

the filming method of army of dead also damn annoying
the bokeh too much, feels nauseous

i cant believe they failed to notice that during post production.. i think can be corrected out easily in post production frame by frame innocent.gif
