Upgraded from a i7 8700k / GTX 1060 to Ryzen 3900x / Radeon 5700XT. I'm a programmer so I could save quite a lot of time during compile with twice the amount of core and threads - that was the reason for the upgrade I told my wife.

Look at all mah cores.

Here is my build:

AMD Ryzen 9 3900x (12c / 24T)
MSI X570 Gaming Edge Wifi
AMD RX 5700 XT
32GB (16GB x 2) 3200MHz Kingston HyperX DDR4
1TB Transcend NVME SSD
Cooler Master 750W Gold PSU
Tecware Nexus Casing

All in all it was around RM 7K, deduct ~2000 for my old rig, I paid ~5000 to myway1985. Awesome seller, recommended.

Hardware installation went without trouble, so was Windows 10. Downloaded the motherboard drivers off of MSI website and claimed a free AIO cooler (still delivering). Went with x570 chipset for PCIe 4.0 so that it could last at least 3 years before upgrade - another thing I told my wife.

Below are the benchmark results. I'm using stock configuration with stock AMD CPU cooler - even so the CPU did not thermal throttle during benchmarking.

Userbenchmark: UFO / UFO / UFO
Total: 84th Percentile
CPU: 63rd Percentile
GFX: 81st Percentile
SSD: 95th Percentile
RAM: 95th Percentile

Cinebench R15: [Multi Core] 3,062 [Single Core] 198 [Open GL] 142.56 FPS

Cinebench R20: [Multi Core] 6,894 [Single Core] 491

Time Spy?: [Score] 21,314 [Graphics Score] 25,857 [Physics Score] 26,356 [Combined] 8,183

Firestrike: [Score] 9,000 [Graphics Score] 8,710 [CPU Score] 11,093

Temperature: [Min] 40c [Max] 87c

Ya, noise is not so much an issue. Heat is. So might look into watercooling the card sooner or later.

Any details on the free AIO cooler? I’m upgrading as well and now considering which board to go.

Either AIO cooler or 25usd steam code. Depends on the model you buy.

I went to Digital Mall strolling, saw a couple of Ryzen 9 at C-Zone.
So yeah, go shops and ask if you want it.
