Thanks a lot to all the replies. Will test drive both units this weekend. Will evaluate and decide later.

Based on the replies have received, it is 50-50. Hard to decide. Just the wow factor when I am considering Persona, I would enjoy some spare cash when selling the Myvi. Leaning towards Persona in terms of economy.

However, the deal breaker is the performance of the car itself. With the resale value also in consideration later on, hence to into all aspects and hopefully can derive into conclusion by the end of the week.

Most honda dealers offering high cash rebate + full tinted seems too good to decline.

How about Almera guys? Saw few sales agents offered around 55k. Surely, much better value than Persona?

What you think?

Hi all sifus, need your advices and guidances prior to buy a new car.
Currently using MyVi 1.5 SE, year 2015. But, now I feel like the space is too limited. Considering of buying either Persona or City.
What are the advantages and disadvantages between these 2 cars? Does City worth the 30k upgrade?

Thanks a lot for your opinions.

Forget the city, old.
Either new Toyota Vios, or Persona if you cannot justify the 20 to 30k extra.

Go test drive both.

End of story

The only thing you need to do if you get the Persona is change the god-awful Silverstone tyres to better ones.

With the transmission refinement, they actually aren't too bad in dry.

On wet, only did some few emergency stops and no fuss no drama (no screeching at all from 60 to 80 kph and just slam the brakes) but as the tires are new, I'm not holding my breath on them as it wears lol (if it even wears...)

For me, i am leaning towards Persona 2019. If you can save more why not?

Fuel efficiency is probably is negligible, if you drive more on highway vs in the city

Looks is subjective. To me the Persona looks OK if u dont mind the slightly bulky side profile.

Cheers

Don't listen to brand snobs.

Go and test drive the 2019 Persona, you will be surprised that it is actually the better driving car compared to the City.

The only thing you need to do if you get the Persona is change the god-awful Silverstone tyres to better ones.

Yes, you can change to a better tyre using the stock rim.

Stock tyre size 185/55R15. You can also a fit a different size 195/55R15 with the same stock rim.

Check out Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2, or Yokohama Bluearth ES32.

If you're considering Persona, Almera can just ignore. You compare specs alone also no eye see.

But if you stubborn, go test drive Almera also.

that's the worst option you can opt for.

Either Pesona or City both gives better features and safety.

Avoid Almera unless you are getting their Serena or X-Trail.
