Hi Guys,
Do you guys ever try to set the port forwarding in maxis router MA131 in order to use the dynamic dns to access for your server or device ? i have already set it to some port like 134 or 888, but i still cannot connect them through the ddns host. The ddns hostname already set up correctly where the status is already in "successfully updated". Anyone can help ?

Getting Started

|
You also have to change your maxis account username to username@public.maxis.com.my in the Ethernet wan section for Maxis to assign you a public IP for ddns use

The ddns is already ping-able, but just the port that i already set still not accessible from outside. Any other steps that i missed ?

did you mapped it correctly to internal ports? what about firewall for internal hosts hosting those services, already allowed those ports to go through?

I saw some post online about the firewall router, do you think for maxis router we need to do something like this ? https://www.clnet-solution.my/knowledgebase...rd-maxis-ma131/double port forward ? but what is firewall router, how can we access to it ?

Actually i tried to use the DMZ to allow access to my internal ip which link to my server, but seems like it is only accessible when you are connected to the network, when we try to connect from outside, it failed.

these 3 profiles, domain, private and public but if you're able to connect internally, probably not because of the host's firewall paste your port forward config here

Do you think it may be due to my public ip issues ? how do i confirm that my public ip has already set correctly ?

Contact to maxis and asked for Dynamic IP for port forwarding because maxis is using Shared IP. In response, the rep may be suggested to get Fix IP but mention him you need to access your server then the rep will assign you unshared dynamic IP.
