I'm not happy with Maxis fiber because it's only good INSIDE Malaysia.

I've lived in many countries around the world.

Since I am international oriented a lot of my traffic is also international.

the "national" network gives 100+ Mbps or even 500Mbps

but the moment I go across the border speed drops terrible.

In Russia I had 500/500Mbps and inside Russia I had 500/500 but outside
to the USA or Russia or Japan I still had 400/400

In Germany I had 100/100Mbps and inside Germany I had 100/100 but outside
I still had 90/90 to the USA, Russia, Japan

In Italy I had 300/300Mbps and I had 300/300 inside Italy but to the USA, Russia, Japan
I still had 260/260Mbps

In Switzerland I had 200/200Mbps and I got 200/200 inside Switzerland but to the
USA, Japan, etc I still got 180/180

In Singapore I got 1000/1000 but to the USA, Germany I still got 900/900

But in Malaysia, I have 100/100 but going to USA or Germany I get 10/10

So I don't see the point of upgrading to their 300/500/800 packages.

It's terrible the international connection! Reminds me of the internet of the 1990's

I'm a over 15 years loyal TM user. Begin from the era of dial-up, until streamyx ADSL, then come to Unifi.

From 56kbps, 512kbps, 1mbps, 2mbps, 4mbps, 8mbps, 30mbps, 50mbps, until now my Unifi Turbo 500mbps.

Sorry to say I really don't like Maxis Fiber. I never use Maxis Fiber but can explain to you why I really so hate Maxis Fiber.

They are trying to lure all the loyal Unifi users to join into Maxis fiber. Spam call everyday, also keep spam advertisement on TV and radio everyday. That's why Maxis is so annoying.

My current plan is Unifi Turbo 500mbps at RM179/mth. Speed is the same but price is RM219/mth for Maxis Fiber. Frankly speaking, I won't easily switch to that damn shxt Maxis Fiber unless they can offer to me a same package of Maxis Fiber at 500mbps with lower than RM179/mth.

Why do I need to switch to Maxis Fiber 500mbps at RM219/mth? Is that Maxis Fiber 500mbps download faster than Unifi Turbo 500mbps? Frankly speaking, if you want to reach that maximum download speed, unless your PC is using m.2 nvme SSD.

The above mrgenie says that he has 100/100mbps in Malaysia but internet speed to US and Germany only got 10/10? What a sarcastic. Please do research before you criticize malaysia fiber optics connections. Hello! friend. We can get maximum speed on downloading a 100GB game from steam and uplay. Want me to prove you? My Unifi Turbo 500mbps can get 40MB/s+ on download games in steam and uplay. Are you still sleeping there? Russia is what the heck country that comes with poor internet speed. At least our malaysia can still rank at 36 in Speedtest Global Index. We are better than United Kingdom, Russia, Italy, Australia, etc. you know?
