I don’t think how u can make the argument to say private U better then local U and matrix. We have different standard then they teach in private U, our study is more difficult. U can’t compare local U students with private U.
A 2.1 in local U is 3.0 in private U so pls stop comparing us. I always told my cousin and parents: private u students only need to pay and can get into private u but local u not everyone can do.

never stadi in IPTS, but muh course on local U like every week also got assignment to do for core subject, even study week oso dont have time to study doing final project etc.

i graduate from local u, have a decent job in a professional industry (not /k celery yet), tapi i think private u (jenis go oberseas habis or partly; not the 3+0 type) is better than local uni because of exposures and the different (and perhaps more wholesome) training regime, yg jenis 3+0 not much difference than local uni je
lepak uni go class, balik rumah tidur, jalan sama, lrt sama from birth till gradute

tapi i still think private overseas uni (with a local branch in malaysia) is better than local uni on a course to course comparison, local uni few things je better than private, cheaper, entry level susah so u feel macam smarter than others, tapi bile keluar kerja oh mai the englando balik holand, the bahasa masuk laut

my stereotype of working with oversea grad/local private grad/local public grad is that:

oversea grad: generally more arrogant & entitled - only some are able to back up with smarts (e.g. displaying actual problem solving skills)
local private grad: this bunch is IMO the worst. also quite arrogant and entitled - but cannot do work.
local public grad: got inferiority complex. question them abit = triggered, complain ppl disrespectful, but similarly with overseas grad, some are able to demonstrate ability.

so judging based on the least amount of problems they give me: oversea > local pub > local priv

my friend who is an ex-uitm used to become Intel manager kulim. now she is working a lecturer in an IPTA.

also a friend of mine, ex UITM, used to work in Infineon kulim as Facility Gas system manager, then later opened his own engineering consultation firm. very successful now.

those who are good are good not matter where you study or where u go.

being humble and hardworking is key to success and study.

choices of uni is just a matter of luck.

I got many friends from private and local, then on succeed is the one that hardworking and keep on learning new skills set.

Local u also must specify which one la.. same with private uni... they are not the same across the board ...same with overseas grad...

If local U entry are not that racially based, then there would be more qualified students would enter it. So please don't look down on private U students, many are just racially disqualified from entering. Paying for it, is a burden their parents choose to absorb for their children's future.

Selected Private U > Public U

Is because the student themselves is already a top student at their school. Many top student nowadays no longer goes to Public Uni, they go to Private Uni.

A top student at my school last time received scholarship to study at a Private Uni after getting a top result at SPM level.

That how Private Uni slowly become top uni over public unis....they get the top student who will help propelled the Uni performance when they become employed.

The employers satisfied with their graduate performance. Employers don't care how many research publication the uni publish in the journal....they only care about the employee/graduate performance.

My engineering class at um I would say 90% got Straight As in SPM and has scholarships.. I think u should only study at um for public u. So I wouldn't say all public u are better than private.. but um is definitely better than private.. I got offers from imperial and UCL btw.. and did my interview at Oxford for Oxford uni 2 years ago.. I just couldn't afford it and didn't get any scholarship.

I could have easily get scholarship for Taylor's etc but UM is better so y would I opt private over UM
