Handling and comfortable are like east and west.
Dmax in the old days (2008 model) was very comfy but handling wise very boat feeling. BT50/ Ranger chassis (2008) then was not as comfy but handles way better in corners.

I find that keeping about 100-200kg load (emergency water supply bottles) in the bed has improved the ride quality a lot for my BT50.

thanks for the input ! don't really mind handling, what I meant by capable is being able to go light off roading ie sandy beach, pebble inclines etc with a full cabin.

been reading up and seems Triton has top marks for comfort, but no comparison yet against the new Hilux Rouge.

No problem if it is a real 4x4 with the right tyres (AT) and has at least 270-300Nm torque minimum and is NOT a tata telcoline. brows.gif

So far my old BT50 went into jungle, crossed river, 35-40 deg steep hill on 4L, OK. But tata needed winch rescue on the hill coz clutch burned out.

Guys, I need some advice on Isuzu MU-X 2015 (test drive). So sorry that MU-X is not pickup but I do need expert here to give some advice on me whether to decide purchase the used MU-x

1. is this car seriously under power that even floor the gas pedal also not feeling accelerate。

2. the top speed I heard is only 140km/h?

is these are stock car condition or this used car having some problem?

For handling Fortuner 2014 vs MU-X which one is score better?
Thanks in advance.

Is this is your first diesel truck/SUV?

The baseline for "no power" = will be the 79hp 4x2 isuzu dmax 2.5L non commonrail.. the one that only produce black smoke and literally no power when totally floored. (Note: a 1.3 myvi has 83hp)

Diesel truck/SUV will not behave like a petrol car. It is another story if u use a BMW sedan diesel.

The top speed is limited because of gearing and rpm redline of diesel engine being 4-4.5k typically - as compared to petrol 6.5k-11k on takumi fujiwara's car

That being said, for a 2060kg vehicle this is even heavier than my mazda BT-50 pickup (1878 kg).

Really thank you so much for your input. No I not yet buy this MU-X yet just went for test drive as used car. On paper it has 134hp and 320nm but feeling no power even totally floor. Suspect might be turbo malfunction or something else..

Thanks for reply, actually I'm looking for Ladder frame 4x4 SUV, so far MU-X having the most safety feature and personally very enjoy driving on it. Just that the power really turn me down.
Like no choice have to look on Pajero Sport or Fortuner

Brand-new ladder frame SUV right now is only one choice which is the Fortuner. MUX waiting for 1.9 engine, Pajero Sport already stopped selling, Everest is just too not value for money and very rare model.

Ranger parts issue?
Its pretty easy to get parts, the stockist is Kemuncak in Segambut roundabout there..as long as got money apa pun boleh. laugh.gif

I drive the 2008 BT50 ie share platform Ranger. Never had parts issue hmm.gif was gonna recommend the 2.2 Ranger, cheap n good platform now we got E5 diesel and cheap roadtax. Those 3L class rtax quite expensive vs 2.5

Dmax imo best choice. Hilux actually can get 2.5 commonrail but confirm no power cause I using one right now haha.

From your list no brainer just go with Dmax.
If Hilux, aim for VNT model (2012 onward).
