QUOTE(xpresside @ Jul 3 2007, 12:11 AM) severe lag spikes is understandable and it also might be your pc spec sux, can't really blame on streamyx, when i used my net on oz it happened also, there is a post somewhere on aman'thul forums about it last week i think. something about not coming to an agreement. so blizz couldn't find anyone. but if they did go onto telstra, the ozzies will complain more i reckon. it looks like the entire nation of oz and nz really hate that isp, more than we hate streamyx.yea i purposely typed it that way, so annoying isn't it whr do u get the source of oz "isps" turn them down? the only isp i know there is Telstra, other isps uses their backbone, same like what is happening here, but dunno if internode hav their own backbone now. why would they be turning them down? aussies hav lotsa online game around hosted there.. and being now in Singapore, am using my cousin's connection. supposedly a 12Mbps line but it seems slower than my 512 kbps line back home in Kuching which is surprisingly faster, even for surfing. it's a cable connection in braddell view area. no one else using it and it's all wifi. |

QUOTE(flush @ Jul 5 2007, 11:45 AM) sorry joeboto. wah, expensive card. but suspicious since the price was cut by 50% on some retailers? i had a good laff at this diagram on this website : http://www.pugetsystems.com/articles.php?id=31 sure makes it look nice but wondering how much can one see on an MMO? the only one i found quickly was this one ( http://swg.warcry.com/scripts/news/view_ne...te=13&id=65213) for WoW. looks impressive but these are US connections. hmm...although yesterday, it seemed that connection was a lot better? i forgot to turn off addons for BGs and Arenas and there's no lag when entering them anymore? could just be me after suffering through my cousin's laggy s'pore line. |

deviladvent is right. although raiding out of Malaysia is not necessarily the best either. depends on the line you get and your gear setup.
the only complaint i had in US was when the Raid+Instance servers lag up. When it did, it was hell. But other than that, pretty smooth going. |

QUOTE(flush @ Jul 10 2007, 02:06 PM) I dunno if this helps, but here's what you guys can try. Download Morpheus Internet Accelerator from http://www.tucows.com/preview/241194 and install it. After installing it, run the program, go to the adapter tab and choose the current adapter you are using. Next, go to the Automatic tab and choose 1 of the methods of optimization. I find that method 4 works best for me. Restart ur pc n cross ur fingers. err is it adfree? i just saw their partner links and many ad links. ><For best results, leave ur router on and connected to the same ip and try the various optimization methods for ppoe till u find 1 that works best for you. Good luck. |
