When u get your bike get a pair of earplugs. Once your hearing is loss there is nothing to recover it. Also if you have some ringing in your ear means damage has been done to your hearing
true. or on the road sometimes

Wearing earplugs also could prevent you from hearing horns from motorists who want to warn you of an impending danger like a runaway car that was unable to stop for one reason or another (maybe has problems with brakes?) but your hearing of the warning horn could be impaired due to the ear plugs? Just a potential scenario, its good to hope for the best but also be prepared for any worse case scenario. Never take chances on life and limbs. #youcanneverbetoocareful

Nope.

earplugs only dampen down the noise, it doesnt totally eliminate it to give you a silent treatment. that's a very gross misconception.

in fact wearing earplugs filters out the wind noise while allowing you to concentrate/pick up on sound that really matters, as in honks and tyres screeching.

i started wearing earplugs after i bought my versys that came with a yoshi pipe, and i couldnt get used to the loud booming sound while riding on highway, it gave me headache during my first long trip. i used foam plugs at first.

i sold off the versys after 5 years and rides an fz now, but the habit of wearing earplugs remain. i no longer used foam, but silicon plugs as they are longer lasting and washable. however as my fz is on stock pipes, i alternate between earplugs and IEM so i can listen to music along the way.

oh i wear a modular. Caberg Duke. flip up very convenient. but i only start wearing modular on fz. when i was on versys, fullface all the way. a rigid fullface is much safer than a flip-up

I got this already. GG. cry.gif

I only decided to start wearing earplugs after it became an issue...don't make the same mistake I did.
