Hi, i came to a post on lowyat forum and I saw someone saying that they received letter from lawyer because of Lowyat Forum leaking their information to the company. I always thought that forum is somewhere we can chat publicly, talk a bit bad about our boss, our employer, to release our stress. But here come to the point that lowyat leaking information, im thinking what if my boss know that im talking bad about him? what if my staff know that i say bad things about them? but hey dude! anyone on this forum dont do this? we all are doing without any intention! it is just a forum, a place that we can chat freely! if we want everyone know who are we, why dont just use the fullname instead of a lot of nickname on this forum? right? i think everyone reserve the privacy that they want.

i want to ask: is that lowyat allowed to leak our information to another 3rd party? Here i saw that at least 3 cases that lowyat leak the information.
Im not sure is this right or wrong, but.....i feel scared! treated!



Here is some example that i saw from lowyat post about their username, real name known by third party of the company. and it is from SAME COMPANY! FISHY!!!

I don’t know why, this post been reported a lot of times by @mc ocean. Helloooooooo! I didn’t mention the company name of mcocean. I’m just want to clarify what is going on in lowyat forum here. Did I mentioned the company name? Why u keep on reporting on me?

Can lowyat give our id, email and ip address to 3rd party? I confuse.
