The Alchemist Code is a strategy RPG based on the popular Japanese SRPG title – For Whom The Alchemist Exists.
It is currently released globally for iOS and Android.
The Alchemist Code features the classic turn-based combat with grid-based movement, where you will be commanding units on 3D terrains to defeat the opponent units.
If you are a Fan of FINAL FANTASY TACTICS this is a game to miss out! As you will feel the nostalgia of the turn base system.

Here are some insight of the game which I am going to break down.
1. Story
2. Gameplay / UI
3. Units and Job Classes
4. Gacha/Units
5. Momento
6. Gears
7. Events
8. MultiPlayer
9. Battle Arena / PvP

Story

Continent of Babel, you will be introduced to the 2 main protagonist – Logi and Dias who gained the power of Alchemy and wants to bring justice and change the world.

The story mode brings you through Logi and Dias’s journey, you will encounter enemies along the journey and the only way to progress is to defeat them.

Gameplay / UI

As you can see it is an anime style SRPG, suitable for fans whom enjoy playing Final Fantasy Tactics, Ogre Tactics, or Phantom of the kill.

Players can build a team of four heroes, and additionally 2 more extra substitutes(that replace the first 2 of the main 4 whenever they die during battle)
and 1 friend mercenary(hire from your friend list or select from the random unit available) for running story or event quests.

The strong strategic point in this game comes from that all these units have Elemental Types as can be seen in the picture left side from(Fire > Wind > Thunder > Water > Fire)(Dark >/< Light),
Atck types and variety of skills that matters in combats. The battle offers backside attacks that requires unit's movement plan. The combat itself is a turn based with grid movement through 3D terrain.

The battle screen offers character turn bar on the top left that helps players plan their action. Players are able to change the angle, speed up the combat or even auto play it.

Units and Job Classes

Units and Job ClassesThe Alchemist Code’s similarities with Final Fantasy Tactics don’t just start and end with the battle system.
Instead of a job wheel though, Each characters are limit to three job classes, which you can unlock by leveling heroes up in game. The choices for these job classes are reminiscent of the Tactics job wheel choices.
You will be collecting unique character heroes in-game that you can upgrade by leveling their job skills and learning abilities as you upgrade them.
Your game character progression system rely on your account’s level, since the hero level cap is tied to your account; it also requires you to level your character ability to learn new skills in the process.

Note: To break to Level 85, you will need to gain character shards either through summoning Gacha or through farming from the hard quest where by it is limit to 3 Shards Daily.
Another thing of note is that you can transfer your learned skills from your previous job to the next job to further customize your character to fit the gameplay you want it to adhere to.
This makes the game unit build-up interesting for a free-to-play mobile game.
Side Note: Only Use Elemental shards for Limited or Collaboration Characters.

Gacha/Units

Momento

Memento Benefits:
Base Stats
The base stats provided by a memento are only given to the unit who equips it. These stats scale with the level of the memento.

Group Skills
The group skills of a memento are provided to all units within the unit group that are present in the party, as long as one unit in that group has the memento equipped.
The group skills will not stack if multiple units in the group have the same memento equipped.
There may be multiple group skills on a memento with different unit triggers- often one group skill is for a single or small group of units, and another is for a much larger group of units.
These stats scale with the level of the memento and also may gain additional bonuses with limit breaks.

Group skill benefits are only provided in combat, which means that if the unit dies you will lose the buff. If the unit is in subs, you will not get the benefit until they enter combat.

Vision Abilities
Vision abilities on the memento are generally available without limit breaks or level requirements, but they often scale based on the limit break of the memento. Some vision abilities are available to all units, but others may be restricted based on various factors such as unit, job or origin.

Vision Clear Reward
Vision Clear Rewards (VCR) are rewards provided for fully leveling up a memento's vision experience. This is often, but not always, a gear that is exclusively obtained through that memento. This gear is usually fairly powerful, and when obtained from a character's memento, these gears will often provide a special benefit to that unit. The vision clear reward is displayed in the upper right of the memento screen.

Skin
Some mementos provide a special character skin when the memento is equipped.

Gears

Gear Equipment
Most gear items that are weapons are specific to certain jobs (typically accessories and armor are not). You can look at the class icons on the gear details page to see which jobs can use it.
You can also click the magnifying glass in the top right to see more information about the gear and if there are specific unit requirements to equip it.
There are 3 types of gear which are weapon, Armour and accessories.
Some of these are obtainable through Quest, Events & Gacha.

Evolving Gear
Gear also can be evolved to a higher star rating once it has reached the maximum level for the current star rating. To evolve gear you must have the listed amount of gear shards for the same item. Alternately, you can use colored gear shards as replacements to evolve gear.

Special Ability Gear
Some gear grants special abilities. Those abilities may be limited only to certain characters or character types (for example, Battlefield Drama’s ability can only be used by female characters).
If the gear ability is available to the character wearing it, it will appear as a master ability for casting. When a special ability is granted by gear, the gear can still be used by any
character(subject to normal gear restrictions) but only characters meeting the ability restrictions will be able to use the special ability.

Events
user posted image
Limited time quests are typically available for 2 weeks at a time and usually begin on a Thursday. You can also see countdown period of when it ends.

Some limited time events return periodically, while others may never return, or only on rare occasions. Some are tied to holidays. Many limited time events will give access to free characters, special gear for characters or job upgrades for specific characters. Typically limited event quests have milestone rewards you can obtain in addition to the mission bonuses and drops for completing them.

Because most of these events are not available regularly, it’s a good idea to complete as much as you’re capable of before the event expires.

Some of these events will be listed under the main event section, but a few will appear under Day/Training.

Note: Time to Time there will be a Collaboration Event, so do stock up those Gems. Recent event just passed is Attack of the Titan Event.

MultiPlayer
user posted image
Multiplayer quests are quests that can be completed with multiple players instead of with multiple units of your own.
There are 4 slots available in a multiplayer quest(it is possible to start with less than 4). Each player can select one character to use in the quest. The quest can’t be started until all players present indicate they are ready.

One player hosts the quest and will pay the AP costs for it(at half the cost of the normal event quest) and will need to pay for any gems used to continue in case of failure. All other players pay no costs to join the quest. You should do at least one multiplayer quest a day for the daily reward.

If a player disconnects during a multiplayer quest, their account is played by the game AI until they reconnect.

Battle Arena / PvP
user posted image
Arena
Daily you will only have 5 orb.
The arena is an automated combat of your 3 character team against another player’s 3 character team, you can choose which team you go up against.
You can also choose to skip the animation of the combat once it loads and it will just tell you who won or lost.

You should do the arena at least 3 times a day for the daily. Additionally you can obtain gems and other rewards from the arena.

When you fight someone in the arena, if you win you swap spots with them in the arena rankings.
If you lose when attacking your ranking is not affected. If someone fights you in the arena and wins, they swap spots with you, and if you win on defense your ranking is not affected.

Pvp / Ranked Match
The ranked match option is only available during scheduled PvP seasons.

Players will be matched up in teams of 3v3. You can adjust your team's initial starting position in formation mode. If you disconnect during a match it will be counted as a loss.
There is a damage cap per individual hit which varies per map. If there are no more turns and both player units are still alive,
the player with the highest HP percentage will win the match. If it is equal it will result in a draw.
