Hi everyone, for those who are wondering, United Infinity and all the other united etc like Liger Infinity, GM aquisition, SD infinity, Swift infinity, are all under the infinity group. I tried working there for a week and this is a sum of experience that I went through.
Bear in mind it is just from my perspective.
Starting from the top, attending interview, showcasing their small yet super professional office attracts any eyes. Everyone there is dressed to impress. Shocking that most people who work there are below 25 Y/O. Mostly just finished high school/diploma.
Went through lobby registration before heading up.(You'll understand why later on) I flunk my interview and yet they call me back for a second interview. The amount of candidates trying out for this job is insane.
As per-mention, this job attract young and fresh minds. When you offer 3 to 4k salary to any fresh or young adult, who would let it slip. Briefed about details regarding the job. no EPF, SOSCO, weekly payout .etc.
On job :
Excited on my very first day of sales work, professionally dressed like any one of them, i was ready to take my very first step to venture into another field of expertise. Every morning there will be a training with extremely loud songs to train every sales rep to talk and deliver in a loud fashion. We were not allowed to sit from the moment we start working to lunch time. Training, briefing and recognition are done in the morning session inbefore departing into field depending on which sales group you were sent to.
On field, usually being station outside banks or hot traffic areas ,in order to generate sales, the task were to approach ALL passerby and present our products. If we managed to sell, we'll get commission based on the package.
BUT HOWEVER, AS I STAY LONGER, I BEGIN TO NOTICE something fishy.
The whole company is roughly 85% aged 18-25. They were streamlined into subgroups which was lead by a director whom they refer to as Owner. They were earning potentially 15k plus commission each month. AND THEY WERE ALL 20 TO 25. Another 3 was above 30. No prejudice on age or exp, just I don't trust a company who was led by people that young. I may be wrong. But it just doesn't sound right.
Remember I mention during interview we register names at lobby at reception, once starting work, we have to go in through the back of the building via a depository lift.We were given no tags, or acknowledgement.
Then I asked around and realized, nobody stayed for a year duration due to its volatility. During work, on field, we were stationed outside of banks where we are always chased away. They did provide uniform and badges. Whats the point of dressing so well if it is covered at the end of the day. I cannot confirmed the badges or uniform if its legit or not.
Lastly during my sales period I was not brief about my products. Long story short, the products were credit card based. Sign 100 rm per month credit card, and ill get 150 rm commission. What they did tell is that the customer has to sign 6 months worth or else your money gets clawed back. Meaning to say, if they cut payment after 3 months, your pay disappeared.
I am sure this company is a legit one. Just not one that you wanted to stay in. They have extremely good work culture, team spirit and structure. The stuff they taught everyone, that i once treasured I realized was all available ONLINE.
Its just the entire scheme was to attract young students to try. Then they rotate and filter through the 100 or 200 people that come in constantly. Mind you, you don't sell the same product nor is there a specific range.
Personally I was butt hurt when I realized I wasted my time. Now I actually admire their scheme and system because it is impressive. It is build on the young minds.Lead by a young guys. I would rather go into a company that is stable and legit. Growth is more important than temporary money. Hope you get what you are looking for. Thanks.

Getting Started

|
just to share you my interview experience, these chain of infinity companies are very visible in jobstreet, and in fact they paid premium to be on top of the candidates pages... from my interview experience(1year ago), the interview process is very straight forward, a direct sales position with no basic, require frequent travel to hotspot area and do f2f or door to door sales, and sometimes you gotta work on weekends/public holiday as well.. dont be scared if you are keen to direct sales. I believe they are not mlm, but whether if you are outspoken, and dare enough to do direct sales.. l think they are not mlm, as they are selling gillette razor, and getting donation from UNHCR(if not mistaken)... but whether can you accept this culture and job or not? its a very young, energetic team . I hope it helps, and get you prepared in advance. All the best in your job hunting! This post has been edited by BlurGuy1992: Sep 10 2019, 05:00 PM
