From my 4 day stay, I noticed that Shanghai drivers are mostly law abiding save for a couple who ignored red light. But those drivers will at least go slower and ensure there are no pedestrians crossing before driving through. Not like in my videos where they don't give a fuck and just ram through.

At night when the crowd is at it's peak, traffic policemen will be there to ensure that traffic flows smoothly for both vehicles and pedestrians.
