I have the foll

Canon EF-S 18-55 kit
Canon EF 28-200 mm f 3.5-5.6
Canon EF 90-300 mm f 4.5-5.6
Canon BG -E3

Sigma 18-200 mm

I'm a noob in photography. As I see it, the range of the above lens seem to overlap.
However, I am not so sure about the performance of each lens at a specific range.

Except for the Sigma which I bought for my travel use, the rest I inherited from a good samaritan.

If there is redundancy, which should I keep and which to dispose?
I am clueless as to the price of the above used lens which are in near mint condition, hardly used.
Anyone has any idea?

I ain't no pro in canon lenses too.

But for me, since u want to keep the sigma 18-200, dispose all the lens above unless u need the slightly longer tele from the 90-300 which i found not necessary.

Then use all the $ and top up to get a proper wide angle or fast 17/18-50/55 lens laugh.gif

am also thinking the 300 mm end isn't of much use..dont really use the zoom end..rather go wide.

how much diff will it make between a combo of a prime 50mm + say a wide of 10-20 to one lens that goes from say 10/20 (there abouts) to about 50/55 mm??

You've hit it right on the head, go for the 10-20mm, 50mm and keep the 18-200mm.

For good fast tele, save up for the Canon 70-200mm F4L IS USM.

think I'll get the 50mm since it's kind of affordable.
the fast tele will have to wait..
