QUOTE(CHEAHYH89 @ Aug 30 2019, 05:05 PM) https://malaysiagazette.com/2019/08/30/agih...k-asm2-wawasan/ Better than expected. I expected it to dip below 5% Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) mengumumkan pengagihan pendapatan 5.00 sen seunit untuk dana harga tetap Amanah Saham Malaysia 2 Wawasan (ASM 2 Wawasan) bagi tahun kewangan berakhir 31 Ogos 2019. |

QUOTE(cklimm @ Sep 3 2019, 10:25 AM) Yeah, but then you think you'll be able to captcha easily at that low rate? I doubt so.I think most ppl would be like me which I won't top up but I'll just leave my investment there since once taken out pretty impossible to reinvest again. |

QUOTE(ytan053 @ Sep 6 2019, 08:56 AM) Just my gut feel and I could be wrong. Definitely in agreement with you. When a fund size grew too big, it's harder to reinvest and get the same amount of return. You are not talking millions here. It's billions. And PNB is limited to invest in certain risk category investments because of the nature of the fund. Look at epf. epf ceo already mentioned where epf may cease to exist one day, look at what epf has moved to - i-invest, member can invest online with epf account 1 and there are massive redemption and investment just within the first wk of its launch. The sales of unit trust funds in that one day are more than few months of unit trust sales in the market. PNB's fund size is getting larger, every year need to get approval from Scurities Commission to increase the fund size for the dividend distribution. They also face limits to invest in Malaysia and need to go to oversea. They r also rescuing a lot of local companies by pumping in money to them. One day when the reserve cant sustain anymore, or they didn't manage the investment well / change to better strategy, they might start with dividend not being reinvested, then change to vp in the future as open market. It might or might not happened but we need to have the forward look and understand the way business work in the past 10 years might not be applicable today with AI, technology, open market etc. 10 years ago, fintech doesn't exist. So one can still practically rely on asm fp for now until there is major changes in the future then only think of other solution. Or get ready now. The global economy is moving in a rapid pace. What you see now, might be very diff in less than 5 years. Global interest rate is going down at a rapid pace and eventually Malaysia will follow suit. When and how it happen no one will know. Best is just to diversify and ready to react when situation changes. |

PNB knows even they declare 4.5%, the take up rate would be full. Why would they need to work so hard. As long people the take up rate is full, they have not much to worry about.

Because everyone wanna top up on 1st. If not, then you'll missed this month's calculation and your rate is around ~4.6% instead of 5%.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 2 2019, 11:48 AM) Really lucky... Yesterday managed to get some units.. I want to round up my ASM3 to nearest thousand also cannot. I am very OCD about odd figures While many of us get big fat zero.... Seems either asnb block the units for some reason (bundle or EPF) or many not selling even when it's lower rate.... |

QUOTE(bourse @ Oct 2 2019, 12:52 PM) yes. have to burn one month dividend. anyhow, it is only rm100.25. I more happy to see nice figure display in the screen. I didn't know so many ppl OCD like me I guess for most ppl, it's still a great place to park the money. But for me, one of my housing loan is 4.5, so not much different and I parking my money there for now. No need to captcha. |
