dear sifus
i honestly doubt any one of us is going to get rich from investing in asnb fp funds. therefore, i rather not set my hope high and then only to get disappointed (as the dividend gets lower every year). |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Sep 12 2019, 02:37 PM) i tried plenty of parking places like most of us did over the past 10 years. my cousin talked me into trying my luck with asnb fp funds since December 2018. to date, i got roughly 1/3 of my money in epf, asnb fp and fd each. best of the fd rates within my reach (4.15% affin) ends on 24/9. any suggestions on alternative parking places? tried mutual funds, prs, stock market, insurance package deal, forex trading |

QUOTE(moosset @ Sep 13 2019, 03:57 PM) if you refer to the best example:one forum member (we know who) got rm14k one day and over rm5k another and the day after. if you 'chin chai' average him 'saving' rm5k/day, thats an ungodly amount in a month o. |

QUOTE(-CoupeFanatic- @ Sep 17 2019, 10:19 AM) poor fella like me cannot afford to 'lose' 3-3.5% buying vp funds. said that to the ambank officer once... then the elderly tauke nio standing next to me swiftly changed her mind about buying the fp/vp bundle deal too. i was not going to say that but the officer 'prompted' me to answer her |

QUOTE(chlim99 @ Sep 17 2019, 12:35 PM) I went to Hong Leong i think end of Sept to open an account, was told RM100 to open an account i heard about the tricks at the bank before i had my asnb online setup done. here in Sarawak, they either want rm80 under table commission or talk you into buying vp funds in thousands. so the naive me and my cousin went to the local (bintulu) asnb office and got a number. the counter staff ended up telling my cousin, they refuse to service us because of our race. the staff even went on saying, their service is for 'all those sitting in the waiting area'... pointing at the 'majority race' Then i requested to check if my ASM2 still active (i've lost passbook and didn't have any activity since opening after it launched -RM50), luckily still there! Then the bank told me i can buy the FP funds online myself, and suggested to come back for a new launch product on the following week, similar to what mentioned in previous posts (min 30k, 30% ASM3, 70% Amanah Saham Imbang 1 or 2), but that time they didn't have much info to show yet. Frustrated things was that i told them i need to have my hp# updated so that i can register/login online, they insisted i can do it online myself as long as i have the account number/IC to register my hp myself I was convinced that they dont really know how the registration works when i went to the other HL branch ~11.10am, told me the same thing i can update my hp online. I showed them a brochure found in the bank itself on the steps to register. Next frustrated thing was, the only person who has rights to do it went for lunch, will only be back after an hour we ended up getting a bank officer in sibu to get our online account setup. since then, I had been patiently typing captha on asnb online |

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Sep 17 2019, 01:18 PM) yep. i thought bank officers are ruthless at first... and that in this day and age, asnb officer/staff should be more 'open minded'. for the record, that was nearly 1 year ago. also for the record, the friendly bank officer who ended up helping (without under table commission) works for ambank sibu. the moral of my story is, just be 'patient' dealing with the bank officer in starting up your asnb online. try to be diplomatic and not invest thousands in vp (if that is not what you really want to do). i manage to start by investing rm100 only. in my experience, dealing with the bank officer is far 'easier' than dealing with the evil asnb staff. |

QUOTE(MGM @ Sep 17 2019, 04:44 PM) Such blatant discrimination in Sarawak? Tot it only happen here. BTW which is d majority n what minority are u? i am the blue color.![]() the asnb staff is green color. the majority sitting in the waiting area are combination of green and red color. i work with lots of red and green color and we are happy 1Malaysia in sarawak. may be the asnb staff is just 'green' with envy that we have some money saved to buy fp funds. sibu ambank officer ended up starting the asnb for me by buying rm100 fp funds. so is the fp funds really 'locked' today? i managed to get asm1 twice (under rm1k) yesterday... despite others saying ikan bilis also not found and my luck being generally lousy |

another 'method' to buy fp funds would be thru the post office staff. the 'rate' is rm80 for rm10,000 fp funds. i rather type captha like hell before i give the post office staff rm80.
recently, post office staff said very difficult to buy rm10,000 fp funds. captha warriors must be winning the battle liao. |

QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ Sep 19 2019, 11:26 AM) Their mobile website is buggy as hell. Sometimes not responding then when u refresh u need to login again. But the system won't allow coz u didn't log out properly. Then need to wait 15 minutes. 😡 when the page stops responding, i usually click 'log keluar' instead. i can log in afterwards without having to wait for 15 mins. refreshing the page almost always guarantees the response you received. |

QUOTE(beLIEve @ Sep 20 2019, 02:03 PM) i dont know their reason. I tried to be honest, in case they're linked with LHDN. I agree. better not invite the potential of kena audit. But for big data, everyone wants everything. Open savings account with bank also want salary bank in statement to know how much you earn at the pretense of preventing money laundering. isn't there a clause in the personal data protection policy thingy which says, we are legally required to provide accurate and up to date personal info, else we are the one in violation?! then again, i don't have much and i don't have anything for them to audit. |

QUOTE(beLIEve @ Sep 20 2019, 02:32 PM) have to get used to it. i apply credit card from a "reputable" source used by many in the forum, now i receive call from 大耳聾 every week offering loan to settle my credit card. scammer also have my details - saying i have some cards that I never did withdrawing big amount of 1money. not have or dont have. it's the unnecessary hassles. imagine going there, ini tak cukup itu tak cukup, go again, tak cukup, rinse and repeat. |
