Anyone plan to sell their ASNB fixed fund, please let me know. whatsapp 0104627467. willing to pay for the transaction fee RM15, and give a sweet (RM50 for RM10k above)

No need so desperate. Get your cash ready. 3x a year when they credit the dividend, that time pump in your cash.

actually i dont really understand ASNB

hmm is it better than mutual fund? what makes ASNB special?
im quite dumb in this ...

Buy and sell at RM1/unit. Other unit trust/mutual fund price follow market. More or less guaranteed dividend of 5.5%, with instant withdrawal, no penalty for early withdrawal, apa lagi you may?

5.5% p.a. more or less guaranteed returns. Use to be min 6%p.a. Dump it in regularly don't touch it, compounding will take care of the rest. It works exactly like FD but better.

Ramjade,

Is the dividend credit date for ASM1,2 and 3 fixed or is there a ansb link when they announce it?

Missed the last round.
*
Is not fixed. Based on market returns. But unofficially fixed based on previous years record. People said it won't drop below 6% but it did drop below 6% although before dropping it was hovering at 6% for a while.

Just expect that your return for the time being is fixed to 5.5%p.a unless they decided to lower it.

And also, I am not able to find such fixed price funds in other countries, only Malaysia offers this kind of fixed price fund, which is near risk-free. Why is that?
*
Your answer can be found here. They don't give you everything. In good times they keep reserves to pay for bad time. In bad time, they tapped into the reserves to pay you fixed price. Giving you illusion that fund is performing well. Keep in mind ASNB is developed for what reason.

Of course you can't find such funds in Malaysia. Is one of a kind in the world. Only Malaysia boleh and have such "magic" Keep in mind returns have been dropping on a yearly basis. Is no longer 6% but now at 5.5% (I believe is to make it more sustainable)

Wow kind of late to the party. Just got up to date on what is the latest return. 5% is pretty pathetic. But by it giving me 5%, it have reduce my risk free rate substantially. From 6% to 5%. 5% I can easily match. Not if is 6%.

Problem my place middle east x banyak good investment option..i keep some blue chip stock here but sikit only just as an emergency fund...furthermore Qatar still facing blockade by Saudi and UAE...so i prefer keep my investment in Malaysia only (ASNB and Bursa)..

Pernah think to diversify some fund to Singapore and US markets, but seriously not able to focus to study the market..anyway i will try to focus to study overseas market smile.gif thx @saitong09

Don't need to study so much. Get a few shopping list, once price drop buy. That's what I am doing. Working 12h a a day is no joke. No time. At all.

Last time you need to be HNWI and can only be bought via bank's Relationship manager. Nowadays all you need is FSM.

dear sifus  tongue.gif

i honestly doubt any one of us is going to get rich from investing in asnb fp funds. therefore, i rather not set my hope high and then only to get disappointed (as the dividend gets lower every year).
