anything higher than the 3-4% rate is from trading on KLSE and dividends.

Permodalan Nasional Bhd. 2,147,483,647 37.0%
Sapura Holdings Sdn. Bhd. 1,732,725,035 10.8%

10.8% = 1,732,725,035

How can 37% be 2,147,483,647
normally they round up a bit for you if earnings too low.

I think ASM1 higher because its FY ended before Trade War intensified. So the ASM2 and ASM3 kena first, next year ASM1 only kena.
*
Thank you all for your kind sharing. Can't take the challenge with Trade War etc. Tomorrow will withdraw some to put into FD. Just to confirm, my ASM can get prorated interest? Thank you, all. Bye.

Why sell a higher liquidity and yielding investment to invest in lower liquidity and yielding investment?
In asnb (asb123 & asm123), ur capital is fixed.
*
Hello Bro, this is my question... I thot asm1 is Not capital guarantee.... Yet your reply is capital is fixed???! This is my dilemma.

Thank you to the other person... Sharing, I need to sell my asm1 on 1st, to enjoy Sept propated interest.

Realized I don't have courage, compared to the seasoned investors. My friend show me old posts, some of your investment can pay off whole floor of home price.

Thank you all again. But, pls do share if capital safe or not,... At least I learn knowledge from this investment. My own mistake, greed when my friend told me asm1 can make lots more profit than FD. Now understand the stress n fear.

No investment is capital guaranteed. The only thing that is capital guaranteed, to the best of my knowledge, is EPF - guaranteed by the government of 1Malaysia. FD rely on PIDM for capital guarantee if the bank collapses. It's unproven if PIDM is able to pay billions of deposit should a bank collapses.

What they're trying to say is, the price of the fund is fixed. The day you want to cash out, you still sell at $1 per unit. There is also no commission involved. Accumulated pro-rated dividend will be paid at the end of the financial year.

Your friend is not wrong. But due to current economic situation, ASMx earnings also affected. Yeah can pay for a whole house. Pay for bungalow also can. It just depends on how much of initial capital you have to dump in to ASM. 1MYR 100 million will earn you about 5 million a year. Should be enough for an average bungalow.

All gov linked fund (EPF, TH, LTAT, ASB,ASN) are operated as ponzi scheme.  This is well known.  That explained the consistent high dividend payout.

Excuse me, you don't happen to be from Shah Alam? I don't mean to offend u... HOPE u not Mr Lim ah? U say exactly what my mentor friend shared yesterday.

I told him, I was convinced to keep my asm1.

I was confused by his reply leh. He also say its a Ponzi scheme like those mentioned above. But, as long as the music playing, just dance along lor. "The savers are net losers due to RM depreciation, got price but no value???" ... I dunno what he saying.

Told me continue asm1, but he capping his asnb investment at $2.5M...he tells me he continue selling dividends to buy Gold, Sgd, Rolex, etc. Yesterday, got someone also buy Rolex. Can go up in price meh?

ASNB FP funds has been known to have cumulation of funds for raining days.....
historically those FP funds has little correlation to KLCI index
*
Not challenging MUM, irrespective of the doubts, etc... I've decided to invest in asnb. I'm a real slow starter, apart from FD, have to embrace asm1. Pray hard dividend stay afloat.
Alternatively, stay healthy n relevant to continue work till 68 y/o to achieve 3k monthly passive income. 😣
Get obsolete by robot, or go work in Cambodia.

Want to ask

Wife make 200k asb loan in may this year

So lets say the amount dividend is around 6k(may to december)

By next year, can the 6k liquidified anytime she want? Meaning can she withdraw the 6k anytime she wants?

Initially she want to take out the dividend to put aside as emergency funds, but I tell her (as far as I know) she can withdraw the dividend anytime she wants in post office or asnb branch as long as not touching the 200k.

Bumi loan for asb, berapa interest rate%?
Berapa faedah bersih lepas dividen tolak pinjaman interest?

I think the Bumis will die-die hold on to asb123... Anyway, anyhow the Govt of the day will ensure their bread, butter taken care.

Cannot guarantee on the asm123....in order for me to survive, monthly $3k...with 3% withdrawal rate on top of CPI @ 2%...

Last year, I thot $0.9m will do... Now, the new retirement number $1.2m.😎 No eye see.

The VP funds sure die lah, in fact the stock market for all the emerging economies in steady decline for last couple of years.

ASM 1, 2 or 3 comes from the same fund manager.. only difference is the portfolio & entry cost... But u can see that normally all 3 fund have almost same dividend rate.....

So just buy whichever is available... From time to time.. do some minor adjustments to make the pie looks nice (OCD 🤣)
*
Thanks for the sharing. I was advised by frienf to buy only asm1. Now I understand. But why 3 different fund names.

If can follow asb1 quota system, will be perfect. I only invest based on what's left of deducted monthly salary. I'm in awe, some of you big time educated investors can invest $xxK/time.

Got new fund also no diff, new fund will also oversubscribed.
Little chance for the M40.

Yes ASM will offer higher dividend than 2 & 3.
Because they are the one offered with bundle VP. So to attract customers they must higher than 2 & 3.
So if you focus on ASM only that's the best choice.
*
Thank you for sharing. Give me more confidence to just focus n peck on asm1.
Knowingly, for big time investors, need to buy what's available, ie all 3 asm funds.

yup. I did discourage a sister of mom's friend from switching from FD to ASN. Few thousand capital, age 80+. If she goes pay for the ASN will, probably not much extra she can make vs promo FD.

Sometimes, spending less is better than earning more.

I think your $0.0033 is the cost for 3 hours no? to me it's 3 hours work for an extra $10 a year.
*
OK, now I'm clear... With my intended $500/month savings, better to put in kwsp or fd. No point my wife struggle daily to invest asm1, still cannot get in. Thank you with helping me. I'm leaving this forum.

ASB loan is loan from bank 200k, then put inside ASB.
The the bank will ask PNB to make the 200k into a sijil and bank will hold the sijil as collateral.
Then the divident from every year, you can use urself.
And as you are paying monthly loans to the banks, your 200k loan will slowly reduce the principle.

So, when terminate the loan, bank will use the sijil (200k) and deduct ur balance principle and return you the nett.
annual divident and the balance when terminate the loan is pure cash.

As long as can tahan the monthly installment, i dun see why dun take the 200k ASB loan.

i think they do not understand how the thing work, that most of them choose not to use this advantage.
*
Must encourage our Bumi bros to join ASB n ASX.

As long as sufficient Bumi participation in ASX, the dividend will be better than FD n also ensure Govt bailout of principal investment, if some terrible finance scandal happens to PNB.
