if currently using Postpaid 190 DS, and I intend to add supplementary, can I subscribe to the family's 38?
sounds enticing that it comes with same amount of data.

i enabled hotspot for temp job, using DiGi non-infinite, non-broadband SIM.
i wanted to gauge what speed i am getting via chrome, but instead keep getting timeout after very long time. apparently it was due to my laptop using 1.0.0.1 / 1.1.1.1 as resolver. CODE # nslookup speedtest.net 1.0.0.1 Server: 1.0.0.1 Address: 1.0.0.1#53 Non-authoritative answer: Name: speedtest.net Address: 151.101.194.219 ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached # nslookup speedtest.net 1.1.1.1 Server: 1.1.1.1 Address: 1.1.1.1#53 Non-authoritative answer: Name: speedtest.net Address: 151.101.194.219 ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached CODE # nslookup speedtest.net 8.8.4.4 Server: 8.8.4.4 Address: 8.8.4.4#53 Non-authoritative answer: Name: speedtest.net Address: 151.101.194.219 Name: speedtest.net Address: 2a04:4e42:200::731 Name: speedtest.net Address: 2a04:4e42::731 Name: speedtest.net Address: 2a04:4e42:600::731 Name: speedtest.net Address: 2a04:4e42:400::731 # nslookup speedtest.net 8.8.8.8 Server: 8.8.8.8 Address: 8.8.8.8#53 Non-authoritative answer: Name: speedtest.net Address: 151.101.194.219 Name: speedtest.net Address: 2a04:4e42:600::731 Name: speedtest.net Address: 2a04:4e42:400::731 Name: speedtest.net Address: 2a04:4e42::731 Name: speedtest.net Address: 2a04:4e42:200::731 |

QUOTE(phhweittt @ Oct 17 2019, 08:54 PM) > 6mth period is based on calendar year, not based since the time you hit a tier. > points reset at start of every 6-months period > everytime you score enough points to qualify a tier, your tier benefit begins immediately, and will be valid within current 6mth period AND the following 6mth period. so if you keep scoring enough points IN EVERY PERIOD, your tier benefit will not cease and continue till the end of following 6mth period. but once you failed to score in a 6mth period, that 6mth period will be your last, until you score again. |

QUOTE(SGLT2 @ Oct 22 2019, 10:13 AM) i did. the gadget sim will automatically draw usage from principal's shared data pool. ... and infinite principals can enjoy 0 bytes of shared data pool upon every renewal. hope it explains. /me terminated gadget sim after a week. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 22 2019, 05:15 PM) I'm surprised that can be done because Digi mentioned Infinite 150 cannot have Gadgets SIM. the cheapskate in me bought via online as suppl to my infinite line. long time ago. What did you mean by that sentence in bold? it would have been great to draw shared unlimited quota from principal, BUT, infinite can only share 0 bytes, so,... hey, it was a joke to "share 0 bytes". just DON'T. QUOTE(tympg @ Oct 22 2019, 05:45 PM) That should be just an ordinary supplementary phone line and not a Gadget SIM as such. RM10 gadget sim make sense WHEN you have a principal line with huge amount of data to split over many devices, rather than going with cheap MVNO which you then have to spend again for separate data quota.Anyway, Digi's Gadget SIM doesn't make monetary sense nowadays. Might as well get a SIM from an MVNO if you want a backup SIM. the question of pairing gadget sim with infinite principal - from time to time coming up - is really just about "sharing the infinite data" with other devices. |

QUOTE(tympg @ Oct 22 2019, 06:48 PM) Just for one Gadget SIM you pay RM20 a month for no extra GB. Simply not worth it. gadget sim is RM10. The Infinite issue is a separate thing. Digi will not sell Gadget SIM to be used with Infinite lines. already RM20 now? as mentioned earlier, this was way back when it is possible to get gadget sim under infinite, now probably administratively prohibited. already terminated anyway. |
